needpower: but i read on one site it will be a v8 6.7 and rumored to have close to 500 in tq at the rear wheel. so who knows.
Just google "ford scorpion diesel" and there are all sorts of posts and rumors about it.

No I am just curious.It looks like a decent engine.However Ford will find some way to screw it up.They always do.Of course the Emissions crap doesn't help any.

ben doesnt know anything about emission crap unless he reads about it.
1997 f-250 7.3 powerstroke, BDP dominator 66 turbo ,3in dwn pipe-4in stright pipe-5in tip, dp tuner chip, performence trans, stg 3 injectors, diprico gauges, rolling on 33's.

If ny reading about it you mean learning how to take it off and make the engine create more smoke then yeah I read about it.

ben all you do is read about stuff you have no hands on expeirence with it. so how much money you got saved up?

WELL BEN ONLY LIKES FORD ENGINES IN TRACTORS!!! BUT I THINK THESE NEW FORD ENGINES, CAN'T BE ANY WORST THAN THE 6.0 OR 6.4????

im just glad they got away from international they have really screwed fords rep over the last 5 years

In terms of "emissions crap" they're all going to come with it from the factory. It's unavoidable. It's not going to be a Ford or Dodge or Chevy thing. If you're in a state that doesn't do smog testing, you can rip it off, but it's getting harder and harder to do, esp. here in Cali.

kinda like how chevy screwed their trucks up by getting rid of the straight axles, putting in a diesel with aluminum heads, and a s s ugly front fascias?

Blizzard, definitely agree with you on the straight axles. I think GM should continue to offer the 2500 with IFS for the guys that want a cushy ride, but offer the 3500 with a solid axle for guys that want a heavier-duty truck. Probably won't happen, but who knows.
