Hey,  also, after the tranny upgrades, what is the next upgrade I should do for not only performance, but longevity?????

Be hearing people say that Amsoil synthetic oil is really worth it.....Is this true???

I would hate to hurt the engine with just a downloader program, if I could compliment it with something to help engine life.....Of course, I'm not hot rodding it too much. Just short quick burst! Just long enough to smoke out the cars behind me and hurt the guys feelings in the sports car beside ***  =) Ha

I can't act too Crazy, im a cop...I'd hate to be a hypocrit!!!!  Ha...I don't write speeding tickets much, since I do it too!!

Anyway, sorry for rambling on.....thanks for all the help  "foxcummins",  You really sound like you know your ***

I am on the market looking for a programmer or a downloader

I heard horror stories about the bullydog programmers (is any of this true?) I been steered into hypertechs and edge juice attitude combos
the main stories usually are of damaged engines (white smoke, tranny damage, etc)

I would really like to get a bully dog
but like I said there are too many people commenting on this around all of the performance shops in Denver
who much of this is true?

I've actually never heard anything bad about Bully Dog stuff.......I certinley have not had any troubles with mine....I get lots of Black Smoke and Lots of Power, but thats it....

What are they saying about damage to engines?????  As far as tranny's go, when you add that kind of power, your gonna break tranny's unless you build them....

I'm really happy with my purchases!!!

I want a bullydog too
but every time i go to a truck parts store to buy  it they tell me about them engine problems and how they recommend hypertech and edge (wonder now if its a sales pitch), they usually tell me about a costumer who had a "ford,GM dodge" and he bought it and then 2 days later came back because the engine blew the heads, turbo gone bad, white smoke etc etc
I know about trannys that break with all the aditional power the engine makes

I dont plan to have max power but mid power range

I used to be in sales, and that sounds like a big sales pitch.....Unfortunately, When you make a pay check based off commision or what the store carry's most of and gets kick back for, It'g gonna work that way......

Go ahead and get the Bully Dog man....Im not having any troubles

BTW...check out this web site, they have the cheapest price I have found on the Triple Dog W/ Outlook Combo..It's only $673.00........Most places try and get retail..Over $900

Have you ever thought of putting a manual tranny in it?

I have a 06 2500 4x4 with 12000 on it. I get 17mpg around town and 19 on the road. I have 4.10 gear ratio.  When I first got the truck it had 17 miles on it.  I ran one tank through it and I got only 13.2mpg.  I installed the superchips programmer (tow safe mode).  My milage changed for the good.  I love the power. The other night a 2006 ford 6.0 with propane tried me from about 30mph to90mph.  I could could pull ahead from him about three truck lengths. Superchips has been a good choice for me.

my son has an 06 cummins with a bully dog, a tuned exhaust, k&n filter.  Unless you are wanting to race your truck, I can not imagine why you would need anymore power.  We pulled a 40' trailer with a 1933 all steel gangster car from CT to AR and never downshifted one time and maintained whatever speed we wanted.  It was hard to keep the truck off of 90 mph
