When traveling on the interstate at 65 and over my 02 Cummins diesel has a remarkable rolling surge that continues until I reduce my speed to below 65 MPH. I have replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the KN air filter, and run 2 tanks of fuel with injector cleaner. Any thoughts out there as to the problem?  Doc

Sounds like your accelerator position sensor might be acting up. Sometimes you can get away with cleaning it with contact cleaner, but usally you have to just replace them.

I had the same problem with my 99. I replaced the throttle position sensor and it fixed it.

When mine went out on my 98.5, I had the dealer do it because the check engine light came on and I didn't know what excatly it was, but it cost a lot, the sensor itself was about 400+( i can't remember the exact amount)and in cluding labor cost me over 500 dollars for them to do it.  So if you feel comfortable and know what you are doing, then do it yourself, it'll save you money.

I did the sam thing and the problem was fixed.   Now Does anyone have any probles with their fuel filter?  I am getting what looks like caliche clay in the bottom of my fuel filter??  I have had all 6 injectors replaced 2 times now at 6,800 buck.  Boerne dodge said they flushed the entire fuel system but i think not.  The material is gritty at first then when rubed between my fingers it turns slick.  WTF?
