You guyz jump to conclusions quick based on what you read on other forums. I love my Duramax but I can find people on the Ford forums who think it's a piece of crap. Does that make it so? One idiot in his basement says its a scam and you guys fall for it. Look where those posts are. On forums run by biodiesel people. I almost believed those forums too untl I finally jumped in an tried DSE. I have been using the DSE for over 2 years now. Awesome is the best word for it. My Benz loves it too. As to those who think glycerin has to be removed, argue that with the svo conversion guys. DSE operates under the same premise. Thin the fuel properly so the injectors spray well and the glycerin will burn up. I verified what they told me. Glycerin burns up at 380 F. Your combustion temp at that moment is 1300-1600F. I'm proof it workz. My friend messed with the methanol biodiesel stuff and coroded all kinds of seals, ruined his injectors and stuff on his Powerstroke. I wouldn't use that fuel ever.

i have a 93 cummins, i used it for awhile they make it sound like the oil is really easy to get, and it isn't, they also make the filtration process seem simple, and it too is not. i guess it is like anything else, time is money. do you want to spend it driving around begging for wvo, and picking up a few gallons here and there, or would it be time better spent working or with family. i had no mechanical problems, other than the time issues.

You're right, the hardest thing is finding the oil. As far as the filtering, i'd rather filter it several times over than dump 5K or more in a home refinery for the methanol lye biodiesel. Plus the tractors seem to like it. If you're running a straight exhaust on a tractor, be prepared to get speckled with all of the soot that used to be inside the engine. It really cleans up the fuel system.
