i believe in automotive equality. fords are good chev's are good and so are dodges.we should embrace diesel power instead of blowing it apart with bicompanyinship. unite under 1 feul #2

Ford is the best. Because that is what I own. LOL
As soon as they offer a Ranger with a Diesel in America, I'll be the idiot camping out in front of the Ford Dealer!

I think that people are loyal to one brand because that is all they know. Maybe there father or grandfather only drove a certain brand and this is planted in a persons head. I enjoy downing fords but thats just for fun I have literaly tried them all and for me its chevy. Im too old to be concerned about a sissy this or a girl that. I like to be comfortable I like a great ride I travel alot with my family and they also like to be comfy so thats why I like Chevy. A superior comfort level and ride.

I'm new to this site about this truck is better than that one. The only thing that i'm sure of, is if we do not buy AMERICAN we are not going to have these types of dicussions about chevys, fords or dodges for that many more years. We all have had a bad/good experience with one type of vehicle model or another. Maybe that is why we feel loyalty to that one model or another. We all find it hard to spend our hard earned money on something that is made by a company that we bought a piece of junk from in the past. So, we stick with what has done us right in the past hoping it will do us right again. My luck has been with chevys, my father fords and his fords. WHO KNOWS! Good luck to ALL! AMERICAN MADE ALL THE WAY!

PEOPLE ARE GENERALLY HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY PURCHASE. ALL THOUGHT EVERY NOW AND THEN WE GET A LEMON, EVEN FROM OUR FAVORITE MANUFACTURER. I CURRENLTY DRIVE A FORD EXCURSION 6.0 PSD. I LOVE IT. THIS IS MY FIRST DIESEL. PRIOR TO THAT I OWNED A 02 CHEVY SURB 5.3LTR. I WAS A GOOD VEHICLE TOO. I TOW A 32FT TRAVEL TRAILER WITH 2 SLIDES. THE PSD PULLS IT LIKE A FEATHER. SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS HAVE DODGES SINGLES, DUALLYS, ALL DIESELS. ANOTHER HAS A CHEVY DURAMAX DUALLY. THE PROBLEM IS I LOVE THEM ALL. I THINK AFTER DUSCUSSIONS WITH MY FRIENDS, WE AGREED, WE WOULD LIKE THE CUMMINGS ENGINE,ALLISON TRANNY AND FORD CHASSIS. AND I WOULD BE HAPPY FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS ANYHOW. I WOULD OWN ANY OF THESE VEHICLES. IT NEVER FAILS THAT YOU ALWAYS SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE BETTER ON SOMEONES ELSES VEHICLE THAN YOURS. OR IF YOU BUY A CERTAIN TYPE VEHICLE, YOU HAVE TO TAKE A SECOND MORTGAGE TO AFFORD, AND THE VERY NEXT MODEL YEAR THEY CHANGE THE VEHICLE ADDING SOMETHING YOU WOULD LOVE TO HAVE. WELL, FOR NOW I LOVE MY FORD EXCURSION BECAUSE IT FITS MY FAMILY AND TOWS GREAT.

Here's what I see as the highlights of each brand:
Chevy/GMC: Quietest, smoothest ride, most factory power.
Ford: Highest towing capacity (F-450), most innovative features (tailgate step, etc.)
Dodge: Best engine for hot-rodding (5.9), best engine durability.
Aside from that, it's pretty subjective.

2006 Dodge ram 2500 Crew cab short bed, K&N intake, Bully Dog Triple Dog W/ Crazy Larry, Boost & Pyro on A-Pillar, Magnaflow Exhaust.
NEVER ARGUE WITH A IDIOT, THEY WILL LOWER YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE!!!

Everyone bashes Dodge for their automatic transmissions, (which the later ones are actually pretty good), but it's hard denying the Cummins legacy. GM has a good engine/trans, but their independent front suspension and low-hanging frame sucks for anything except paved roads. Ford has a very solid package overall, but has been plagued with engine reliability problems in the past. The 6.4L Powerstroke seems to be holding together pretty well for the most part (except for the small grass fire every now and then) but like most all the new diesels, it gets fuel mileage more akin to an old big-block gasser.
Each brand has their weak and strong points, so it really comes down to personal preference and perhaps what you've grown up around. I was brought up around GM products, so don't ask me why I choose Dodge all these years, but aside from a slightly choppy ride (compared to the competition), I fail to see where I went wrong with my truck.
2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie 4x4. H.O. Cummins, 6spd manual trans, 4.10 gearing. Intake, Exhaust, Hot Juice, HTT HTB2 62/12/65, Jake Brake, 305-65R17 (33 x 12.50) Pro-Comp Extreme All Terrains, SBC Con O FE, Fuel Tank Vent Mod, Various other gizmos.
I-6 Cummins guys are keepin' it straight. Those other boys swing both ways.
