You Ford guys trucks really suck. I would be ashamed to claim them if I were ya'll. That 6.0 really sucks and your bragging about how great fords are. I will take my Duramax or my buddys Dodge and load 5000 more on my trailer and I will thrash your power struggle

First off I want to say I'm a proud D-Max owner. I want to also say they must all be pretty good in their own respect. They are all on the road and they all have their problems. The Powerstroke is the last motor I'd own but it's all personal preferences. The Cummins is the tried and true BEST of the group, but I hate Dodge so I'd never own the Cummins. Put the Cummins in a Chev/GMC or maybe a Ford and I'd think about it. But the only reason Dodge sells is because it has the best motor!!! My GMC fits me the best, has the interior of a luxury car and the D-Max makes the most power stock. How about the future, the Cummins is uping the displacement and still isn't as powerful? Why change a good thing?? Must be a reason.

Okay, duramax is not a bad engine and why hate dodge? What have they done to you? And last If you look in this months issue you will see that the new 6.7 cummins is the the better engine of the new emission engines.

Yea ok if ford had such a great engine the 6.0 ha ha junk i know a friend that has a brand new one had it a year been in the shop 4 mounths out of that year they would still make it if it was that good, same with dodge if they had a great engine they would not change it let me see the only one not changed is the duramax and they dont need twin turbo lets see 6.4 twin turbo and still does not make close to the same hp and tq as the duramax you all can think what you want but you cant beat the facts.

i've been chevy loyal since i was born, and still have to say the cummins is a good motor, even the 7.3 psd was decent, but the 6.0 is junk, and this new 6.4 i think will be worse. how come dodge and chevy and dodge can meet epa standards with computer tuning and ford has to use another turbo? dont worry powerjoke guys ford might get it right one of these days

in case you didnt know chevy and dodge are in debt more than ford, just to clear that up, and yes the 7.3 was a *** good engine stock, i amaloyal ford fan,i will be till the day i die, but i am in agreement in that ford could have done a better job with 6.0, however that may beits still selling because its still a *** strong engine until it breaks down.but we will see what happens the 6.4 comes out.

You dodge fanatics are so clever with your ford powerstroke wordplay. Never heard those before. The only reason you don't hear bad publicity about dodge is because there aren't enough people complaining. The only reason for that is that dodge doesn't sell very many trucks. Not enough people out there with bad taste I guess. You hear stories about ford because it outsells dodge and gmc combined. For you dodge simpletons that means more trucks than both of them. If you look in the right places you hear the same things from all brands. Like the dodge mechanic I talk to that calls them Cummaparts. Each to there own I guess. But you dodge guys can keep spouting off from the bottom of the pile. Just remember, your sister is family. She's off limits.

You're killin me smalls!! Still tryin to make yourself feel better by pushin the best sellin truck point, again? Not gonna happen, who cares about sellin more trucks... If you feel better about everyone buyin two in hopes of keepin one runnin (cause after all they are the best... "sellin") more power to ya...

I'm a D-Max guy, and I can tell you that the Dodge thing about not enough sold to hear a complaint is "BS". In case you haven't heard the Cummins is the most upgraded diesel to date! There are far more Dodge/Cummins forums and websites than both the others. Wait until the new 6.4 Twin Turbo crap fails for Ford and we'll see those best selling #'s go right out the window!!!

Ok y'all.  We are all proud owners of AWESOME diesel truck right?  So lets all try to be civil to eachother.  This is how it comes down to it from the mouths of owners from all three camps...

If you want to go fast for cheap, have a good handling truck, and a VERY comfortable ride, get a Chevy/GMC Duramax.

If you have A LOT of work to get done, want something that will take some mods so you can have some fun, get a Powerstroke.

If you have asperations to have a good mix of workability and speed, get a Cummins.

Now, we all know that the Cummins is ruling the drag strip and at the pulls.  They are the fastest, most powerful after pouring a LOT of $$$ into them, and that is OK.
The Duramax is VERY capable of hitting the 11's and doing well in the pulls with not too much $$$ invested.
The Powerstroke CAN do VERY well in the lower modded classes of both dragracing and pulling.

Facts: The Cummins has gone YEARS and has been pretty much untouched save for fuel and the change from 12 to 24 valves.  The Powerstroke (7.3L) had a GREAT run for a lot of years, the 6.0L was pretty much untested and had some problems in 03-04.  Yes there are problems in the 05-06 trucks, but they are GREAT trucks if you take care of 'em.  The Duramax has gone through two different models since 2001(I think) (LLY/LBZ).  They are great motors but I know a lot of GM Purists that will not use a GM Diesel to pull anything larger than an ATV trailer with it.  (Personal Experiance).

Now, your asking, "WTF do you drive Ditty?"  Well, the answer is I have a 2000 Powerstroke 7.3L, and I LOVE it.  My reasons for getting a Ford were, 1. Body style - I've loved the 99-04 body style since it came out.  2. Fords are selling cheaper used due to the availability and high miles on nearly all of the used models. (Mine had 170,000 miles when I bought it in OCT of '05.)  3. I've never really heard anything bad about the ol' 7.3L and it is a PROVEN diesel.

I'm thinking of getting into another project vehicle and I'm looking into either a Duramax or Cummins.  I'm a FORD guy, but I'm not an idiot.  I know that after I pour in $15-30,000 of my cash, the Duramax or Cummins is going to get me faster trapspeeds and more street kills than my PSD.  I'll keep the Ford around for any WORK that needs to be done and hauling the family around.
