Allright check it out. I have an 80 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 shortbed. Ive had it for eight years and it was my first truck that I bought when I was 16. Anyways my plan is to remove the body box in the frame, throw some 3/4 or 1 ton axles and leafs, lift it about 8 to 10 inches, and as you may have guessed put a cummins between the fenders. Im going to try and do all this for as cheap as possible. Well im going to need a little help from you guys. What am I going to have to do to get a 12Valve put out around 500-600 hp, have the tranny survive(looking for a manuel), have the transfer case survive, and have the axles survive? What size fuel lines am I going to need? What are the best axles to look for? Will a np 205 tansfer case hold up? What kind of wireing changes will need to be made? And if anybody out there needs a rebuilt Chevy 350, and brand new rebuilt turbo 350 trans let me know, maybe we could make a deal. Thanks for any help to these questions
