The reason this post is still going is because people enjoy reading arguments and then joining in.

It doesnt matter what you drive find something you like and keep it. Iv been around all 3 Ford, GM, and Dodge they all have their Issues. The 12 valve dodges had the dowl pin problem that could cost you thousands to get fixed when it came out, The 1998-2002 24 valves had lift pump problems, loose fuel pressure and there goes your injection pump those arnt cheap either, not to mention the pile of junk tranny's they put in those trucks. My 04 common rail has its fair share of problems too the front end is junk. The duramaxs are good trucks but have problems too my buddy's 03 has had 2 injection pumps, 1 set of injectors and 3 tranny control boxes. plus what the hell was gm thinkin when they put 1/2 ton tie rods in the 3/4 ton or 1 ton diesel trucks?? As far as Ford goes the 6.0 had some problems that can be fixed to make them just as good as a Duramax or a Cummins. So in my opionion they are the same thing a bunch of machanical pieces working together and it can and will break. so if you like Ford drive one, you like GM drive one, you like Dodge then DRIVE ONE who cares what everybody else drives as long as its a diesel your a friend of mine.

Nice idea but in the real world arguments happen.Duramax is the best if you pull a horse trailer or livestock trailer like my dad and I do.GM gives you a locker.Dodge doesn't.Dodge gives you Dana front and rear axles but they also give you a piss poor tranny.GM is the perfect combo of power and grace. So buy what ever you want it makes no difference but Really Smart Guys DRIVE DURAMAX TRUCKS!
