i am ron i live in alaska and just down 3300 miles to south dakota to bird hunt, my 04 durmax started smoking real bad after getting all kind of diffrent fuel coming down.   smokes white at idle and on acell,,truck has 81 k on it and is still under the 100 k engine warranty, need a lil advice what to look at or do.   i am in a small town and dealer is in rapid??  injector??turbo???

You can up the hp to around 400 wtihout having to worry to bad about the Allison...Don't go over that though unless your ready to start spending big money..

Simple exhaust, Intake, programer will get ya there...Be careful with the programer though..start on the low settings....Or research EFI live....It's great for Dmax's.....  

Try runnin your normal fuel you use at home if you can find it and add a diesel fuel additive that has an injector cleaner in it and see if that works. it sounds like the injectors to me but im kinda new.

Josh from Ar. I'm a Truck mechanic and @ night I drive a Single axle '02 Freightliner, 425hp c-12 cat with a 9spd eaton (3.90 gears). YES, this will try to walk around when floored while running 35mph. I also run a 2000 3/4 dodge w/ a stock 5.9.

I drive a 2003 Ford F-350 King Ranch on a 6" lift and 35's 5" bully dog turbo back exhaust, AFE stage 2 intake and a quadzilla Max Mileage Chip. I'm waiting on the crazy tuner until I either headstud it or drop a 12 valve in it. Right now my buddy is building me a box for my JL W7 12 I am about to put in between the front seats and wrap the box in custom King Ranch Leather. So if they don't hear the truck they will hear the beat from the Sub. In Memphis we lift the trucks make'um fast tint the windows and make sure you hear us one way or the other.
