Everyone on here can fine a problem in a magazine or a website because it is easy for people to put false information on that stuff which is why some many people get confused with the truth. Ford and Navistar are having there problems, but there is nothing wrong with the 6.4 itself. the motor is fine Ford is just having manufacturing issues with Navistar. Ford, Chevy or Dodge all have had there problems with disels so you al can sit here and list Ford's problems all day but the truth is they all have had there problems. Ford just beating the 600 torque range is a perfect example of false information. Ford has always has 600 ft. pds of torque in there diesel trucks every year even with the 7.3 so stop reading all these *** magazines and get real information from PEOPLE who know what they are talking about, not the internet either. I know what goes on with Ford because my dad and grndfather have worked for them for over 20 years and work on diesels so i know what the *** is going on. I hope somebody who knows what they are talking about will get on this website soon because none of you idiots do.

My 21yrs. of being a diesel mechanic feelings are hurt. Really there could be tears. Im gonna go strait up to that no good dyno when I get to work and call it a lieing hunk of junk.

That's Funny, those dyno's, mags and the big three must not know anything uh? I should have bought a 7.3 because they made over 600 years ago!

ford has not always had 600 ft pounds the 7.3 was 520 ft pounds and the 6.0 was 570 ft pounds and thats straight from ford.

i am new to this site, but everyone that hears my truck loves the sound of it, and thats from the guys with a d-max or cat. I am not much on reading about hp or tq and i hate to say this but when you put a boat or a trailer on the back of a rig the Cummins will win every time

hey powerstrokin ford guy im not an idiot and i know ford has had over 600 lbs of torque for almost 13 years now. im with you but dont drag me down with the others casue i know what im talking about i dont know if the others do but if thats your opinion go for it.

yes ford has had more then 600 lbs of torque you idiots i know i have 2 of them and now a 6.4L too. b-4 those i had 3 7.3 and they made over 600 lbs of torque to.  my 6.0 just stock had over 640ft lbs of torque (now there way more) and my 6.4 makes almost 700 ft lbs of torque just stock. if you wanna argue i will get my uncle who works with ford and has for 11 years now. and he will tell you that the 6.4 makes 690lbs and the 6.0 makes 640 lbs of raw tourqe. going to hp all 3 have had the same for years now but my 6.4 has 375 stock. and my 6.0s had 325 stock. of course both of those fields are way more now except on the 6.4 casue there any mods for it yet. i like the 6.4 casue the side air vents help keep the motor cooler when your pullin with it on those hot days. just 2 days ago it was 93 here it broke a record and i was pullin the 4010 up to one of my jobs with her. i got upgraded guages in her and i didnt see the turbo gauge get over 1100. with my chip on my 6.0L the turbo gets that hot on a cold day and starts defueling at 1250. it defuels cause the chip i got on there alows it to so you dont burn sh i t up. dont wanna do that lol. exspecially with no warrenty

where are you guys getting your info ???? straight from ford theyre saying 570 lb ft of torque @ 2000 rpm for a 2006 f-350 with the 6.0L. the 7.3 in 1999 started out at 500 lb ft and got to 525 before being replaced y the 6.0 which in 2003 which had 560 lb ft to begin with and had a slight jump to 570 lb ft in 2005. now in 2007/8 the new 6.4L has 650 lb ft. remember the big deal about the 2004.5 cummins in the dodge ? being the first light duty truck to hit 600 lb ft of torque

I'm with you man!!!!  Not to call anybody a liar, but show me a factory brochure that shows ANY ford super duty with more than 600 lb.ft......It's not gonna happen...........Except for the 6.4 of course, at 650 lb.ft........The new Dmax LMM is the highest factory torque rating ever at 660 lb.ft...........

I'm glad you guys are proud of your Ford's but dang....I'd buy a Ford if it had a Cummins or a Cat...Like i've said earlier....My diesels GOTTA be and inline 6.........The V8's sound ok, but NOTHIN beats that I6 big rig sound!!!!!!!

Ford has been behind for years in the torque wars, yes they still pull good but it's been a battle between Dodge and Chevy for highest of the year, the highest rated 6.0 was 570 at 2000 rpm and I don't think Ford would under rate their truck when Dodge had the 600 and 610 and Chevy was up to 650 for torque.

The problem with u ford boys is that every body else knows more about the power specs of your truck than u do. The fords have not had 600+ foot pounds before 2008 and thats straight from your manufacturer

you dumb shits i just went and read to make shur yes they f ing have just stock my 6.0 have 640 and the 6.4 has 690 all the brochures can tell you what its got but the real *** is on the sticker on the door. go find one i guarentee it will say 640 trq and 325hp  but on the dyno now my 6.0 reads 522 hp and 878lbs of trq
