I've never understood why a motor like a C7 has such a wide tuning range.....why would anyone want that big of an engine with only 200pony's.......MAN!!! Give me the 330HP version with the aftermarket tuning that bumps it to around 400HP and over 1000 in TQ............
Speaking of that .....As for Toyota getting a Cat...I don't think it'll ever be a C7...That engine weighs 1425 lbs......Not sure a Tundra or any other light duty truck needs one that heavy....

Hey just to let you guys know, john deere did put a cummins in a couple of its tractors. i was in germany, a few months ago and went to visit a farmer that i met a few years ago and one of his deeres actually had a cummins in it. i can't seem to remember the model number, but i think it was from the mid-late 70s. Also, Case-IH (which i'm not a fan of for the record) put cummins motors in several of the big 4x4 tractors. Just some food for thought.
1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins 24 valve, 5spd with south bend 550hp+ clutch, 150 horse injectors, Fram Boost intake(for now), Edge Juice with attitude, 150 gph fass fuel pump and much more, all together 450 dyno proven HP and 1170 ft lbs. DPMAG May Ride of the Month
and a quote from Dmax007- this site is entirely the blind leading the blind. nobody on this site has the balls to stand up to this stupid blowin smoke gang. got news for you, i do.

I went out the other day and got to drive a New 2007 LBZ Duramax (not the New emmissions LMM) and then went up the street on drove a new 2008 F-450 with the 6.4L.......First off, I did really like the GMC...Plush interior and few more bells and whistles than my 05 Dodge CTD....Maybe cause it was brand new and not broken in yet but I wasn't that impressed with the stock power (360HP/650TQ.).....I can see how you guys really like that truck though!! I parked my Dodge right beside it..My Dodge is a little taller and to me just looks meaner ( both have the stock tire size..I'm hoping to change that as soon as mine wear out)............On to the Ford F-450. This truck actually had 1300 miles on it and they were selling it as used..The sales guys was playing dumb about how they got it and why it was used...Anyway, It was solid white and had Tan leather,NAV,Sunroof, etc. It looked awesome!!!.....ALL the goodies..I know it's a dually and is longer and heavier than my Dodge, but I was still definately NOT impressed with the power...Well, lets call it Acceleration..For twin Turbos and 350/650, it just didn't roll out like I thought it would.........I know my Cummins is hopped up, but I put it back on STOCK mode and mine still felt faster than both the Duramax and Power Strokes........Anyway, thats my experience with the new ones...The Dodge dealer had a new 6.7 350/650 Dually that I was going to get to drive the next day, but something came up and I didn't make it...I gonna go back though....I really expect to be more impressed with the Cummins....
HAS ANYBODY ELSE TRIED TO DO THE BIG3-IN-1 DAY TEST DRIVES.....BACK TO BACK TO BACK, TO SEE WHICK ONE ACTUALLY FELT MORE POWERFUL???????? IF SO, LET HEAR ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE!!!!!

hustler_shan: so the new ones have less power???? that is weird.
Only the 305HP/610TQ.........This is because that this engine setup has ALREADY passed the new 2010 Emmisions standards!!!!!!!!!!
The 350/650 Version is to compete with Ford / Chevy Unitl 2010........
If someone ever take the 6.7L and takes all the emmisions crap off and hops it up, It will be a monster....Think about how much power the 5.9 makes when its hopped up..........It's been making crazy number and ITS .7 LITERS SMALLER THAN THE DURAMAX!!!!!!!!! Now that Cummins has 6.7 Liters........Everbody watch out!!!

The duramax is the heavyweight champion of the world and thats just the way it is. With two turbos ford owners have at least one more thing to fix when it breaks down next year.

hahahaha i shouldent have to fix the turbos casue they are good turbos both are. and i dont think the d-max is the champ casue how long have they been around commpared to the dodge or ford. they have only been around for what like 5 or 7 years. the powerstroke has been around since 1994.5 and the cummins has been around since like 89.

Hey guys quick question. The new 6.9l CTD, did they change the outer dimentions or just hone the block more? cause if you remember in diesel power challenge east one of the dodge competitors cracked his water jacket. if Cummins just honed the block a bit this could be trouble. think about it before you blow $30k + on a new CTD.
