yeah, you right. that's what i want to do. i want to put a CAT C7 engine in my 2002 Ford F250 Superduty with the 7.3L powerstoke engine. want to do a swap. intil now, i haven't seen a F250 superduty with a CAT C7 engine. that would be one of the best swaps ever. i would probably even have it posted on the DIESEL POWER magazine, an article. that would be great.

i would love to know how that goes. the v8 diesels are just about worthless and just suck down diesel fuel...

well the 7.3L powerstoke engine is in good shape @ 130,000 miles on it, fuel economy, well is OK. but am pretty good on doing the swap.

Im going on record by saying we will never see a cat in a Ford that is sold in so many numbers like the F150, 250, or 350 Cat cant build enough to keep up with truck sells. But I think Ford is gonna split with international and build there own big diesel by 2010 or so and the new engine they build will be far far better than any powerstroke ever built

i dont know the 7.3 was a good engine for a real long time they should have just tuned it up instead of going with the new engines

Well half of your dreams will come true Ford does plan on ditching the powerstroke and building their own diesel. We will see how that turns out. Their atempt to compete with dodges v10 was a total flop hope they did their homework this time.

A co-worker's brother works at Garrett turbochargers, and they're doing some advanced R&D for some of the OEs. He said that the 2010 Duramax will blow everyone's mind. But that's all he would say. I'm sure GM isn't the only company with something up its sleeve, though.
