Unless you like crappy milage.Emissions is screwing up all our beloved Diesel burners!By 2010 there will be little maybe even No Black smoke emitted!Which is complete and utter b.s.

Yeah The 6.7L can be problamatic but it is a decent engine but yeah the 5.9L is a proven way to go.Less emissions b.s. and easier to work on.

Anybody see on the news the merger talkes between GM and chrysler? How nice would A Cummins / Allison powered truck with A Dodge frame and front end with all the GM goodness that doesnt fall apart or rot off be. I have A 2000 Ram and A 2006 GMC both 3/4 ton diesels and while my GMC is alot more powerfull I would rather use my dodge to cross a field with a heavy load. I use the Dodge for work and the GMC to pull my 5th. wheel both trucks work very well for what I use them for but wouldnt the best of both worlds be cool. Sorry if I offended any Ford people by not having one of those. Ford is ok in my book but International I dont care for

Yeah, who knows how it's all going to hash out. Evidently, there are some other interested parties in Chrysler as well.
If this were to go through, I'd make the Cummins an exclusive in the GMC, to differentiate it from Chevy somewhat.

Thats a good Idea other than looks there is no difference between chevy and gmc The Cummins avalable for the GMC would shake thing up

Although it sounds nice the merger wouldn't do alot of good.Just means an even higher starting price for GM.Gm would still hold onto the IFS.They however might keep the Dana front and rear axles of the Dodge as an option. This almost happend 2yrs ago though so don't get your hopes up.

why the hell would they want to merge with chrysler they are already merged with isuzu for the duramax. I think that if they do, than all this fighting about which manufacturer for a truck is better will just be pointless because they are equally matched

I have driven all the diesels ford has out, and now have an 08. The power is great in the 08, but don't look at the fuel bill. I burn at least $1200 a month in that hog. Never have seen better than 10.7 mpg. I use our trucks for service in the dairy industry and the 7.3 was trusty but noisy and wore it out. We have had several 6.0 models, and all years had issues including my last P.O.S. '06 6.0. Went through 6 sets of injectors one head and 2 turbos. I'm buying a duramax for my personal use. Ford is loosing it and I am not going to buy one for some time.

This blog has definitely gone over the top. Is there really a king? We run all three makes on the farm? Is one engine better than the other? Hardly? It's a function of what you want. When it comes to price. Dodge is king of the cheap. Ford takes top prize for most expensive. They are all nice to drive. I have to say I'm disappointed in the mileage of my 6.7. My uncle's LMM Chevrolet is kicking my butt in mileage and it is not modified. Who's really the king? Suffice it to say that in my mind, there isn't one.

Of course ford didnt make there motor, nor did chev, or dodge. The cummins is owned by ford, has been forever, the chevs is owned by izuzu, so why slam the ford? My 08 F450 outpulls my dads 07 duramax all day long, I dont care what the factory "rates" the trucks at, the ford puts more of its power to the ground, and has a far better frame than the other 2. And the 6.4 is not that bad, I had a recall on the rad, other than that, 23k on it pulling 30k plus lbs...

So, does anyone have a legitimate reason why I "should not" buy the new 2008 Ford F250 King Ranch SD?
