i have seen them before and yes they are awesome it just proves the cummins has the stump pulling power the others dont.
i have actually hooked up before to a kid who thought his 97 chevy 2500 with a 454 was hot stuff, man the look on his face when i was dragging him around with his wheels locked up

yeah i agree i think the 6 0s are *** too, i'm also a fan of the d max though but i have to say i think a cummins is where its at. i almost bought an 04 lly before i bought my cummins (fiance wanted a chevy) and i liked it a lot but i didn't think it was as good as my 610 cummins that i bought instead.

Hey I checked that vid, ya just gotta love it! There's a bunch of cool diesel vids on youtube check out the 99 Cummins killing a V10 Viper. There's also a Dodge dually drifting, Cummins vs Duramax and a big highway rig pulling a 14 sec 1/4 mile.  Too cool!

Yah? This does nothing to prove a thing but traction!
Line them up and RACE, then start adding up the score.

trucks are not meant for racing they arent meant for pulling, speed and quickness is just a side affect to adding power. a cummins will never rev as high as a v8 diesel. but it will spend more time in the torque sweet spot

Why would one truck have more traction than another? These are stock trucks, same tires ect. Sorry dude but that stock Cummins inline 6 just simply out pulled that stock V8 D-MAX...twice!

ok i just watched the videos... odveosly the cummins will win becasue in all three of them the cummins is bigger. therefore it weighs more there for it gets more traction. now also that is no fare becasue the cummins has the best in class low end trq the chevy and ford are v8 so they dont gots as much on the lowend but they gots more on the higend. the cummins will win in those pulls... but will it win the pulls that actually matter... i am talking about the uphill pulling a trailer pull. i will say it agine the cummins is a I6 meaning the lowend trq is fanaminal but the chevy and ford are v8s meaning the lowend trqq aint the best but the highend is way better.

ahh i like that sound. after hearing semis all day it is quite refreshing to hear a v8 diesel. as for the up hill pulling thing and all i think the cummins with the overdrive auto does very well because my overdrive will typically keep me right around peak torque which comes on at like 1400-1500 rpm. one of these days im going to bring my truck to a dyno at one of the diesel tech colleges and see what she can do with max tune

yah i ma going to start to do some things to my cummins... becasue every day i love it more and more. it looks awesome it runs aweseome and it sounds aweseome and that is what i wanted.

i seen a funny video on you tube... i will find it later. but it was a 1999 hummer with only a 4 cylinder cummins straped to the bummper of a 2007 ford f350... it was a close pull... untill the powerstroke snapped its drive shaft. you should watch it... i will post the site location a little later today... or maybe monday.
