Just purchased a nice 97 350 powerstroke, only 46000 miles. Just looking for some opinions. Should i get stacks and an air intake at the same time or seperately? Just wondering.

The stacks are not going to do squat for power unless you do the down pipe. It's mashed down to about an inch where the firewall and floor meet.Throw in a intake, chip, intercooler and you'll be smiling.

Yeah i've noticed its a pretty thin outlet, i can only find 3 inch down pipes for the year. I was thinking 7 inch mitre cuts from blackclouddiesel.com. Check em out, i think you'll like them. Thanks for the insight.

first thing you need to do is get better air filtering. check the other thread where you asked about that. chekc my gallery list there and then google "tymar" and call dale Isley. He can set you up with a down pipe and intake and just about everything else you will ever need for your truck. stacks are awesome! 7" might be just a bit big though. I have 6" mitre cuts and love them. they are shot though so I have some 5" turn out ready to be installed.

Dude i feel retarded cuz i can't remember where that thread is that i posted the stuff about the filter. If you could give me the location of that it'd be great. Something that i'm definitely going to get for my truck eventually is an aftermarket torque converter. Even though im true to ford, the tranny on that year of truck is a little hard shifting. Keep in touch. Thanks
