LOVE THE MAG AND WEBSITE, DONT CHANGE A THING. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A MORE REAL WORLD GAS VS. DIESEL COMPARISON. KEEP IN MIND THE COST OF THE DIESEL OPTION TO START AND THAT OUR DIESELS ARE ALREADY TURBOCHARGED.

Like to see the chevy 4500 and 5500 series line ups. I have seen a few custom ones and lately seems like all diesel powered mags are doing the fords. Also like to see more lifted chevy and dodges as there are enough fords.

HOW ABOUT A STOCK DIESEL POWER CHALLANGE. STOCK 2008 FORD, DODGE AND GM IN THE SAME SCENARIOS AS YOU PUT THE DIESEL POWER CHALLANGE GUYS IN. OR EVEN OLDER BONE STOCK TRUCKS OF THE SAME YEAR. NO EXHAUST, INTAKE UPGRADES NO CHIPS/PROGRAMMERS NO MODIFICATIONS WHATSOEVER.

I have an '04.5 Dodge/Cummins with a few upgrades. There is alot of info on diesel trucks out there. What about the European diesel cars? I was stationed in Germany and go back to Europe every other year and what they have over there is light-years ahead of the U.S. Every American car sold in Europe has a diesel option.
The tech is also ahead of the hybrids which is only an interim technology and doesn't perform in the real world anyway. Not to mention the biofuel advantage over gas and gasohol that would wean us off foreign oil.
Just some pro diesel ramblings. Go DCX and more on diesel cars.

back to what "tried them all" said... he said
I'll second the idea by tried them all. Do a magazine test similar to the one that is done every year by the guys at The Diesel Page. Put up same year trucks in a test and report the facts. this would be awesome. i live in the hills in south dakota and it would be awesome to see this happen.
another thing is it would be very cool to see what each of the "big 3" get in millage and how they do in a drag and under heavy trailers.
it would be cool if we had a spell check on here. i mean then people wouldent get so darn confused... i mean we already are with this world these days. lol.
bottom line is you guys have a very very awesome magazine and website. my advise is too just keep the articles coming... the faster the better. lol. i love this magazine and site and will never forget about it untill i die. would be really cool if you put a article about the 6.4L in the mag that would definetly make me happy. then i could see how my 6.4L is doing comaparred to the other ones. i love diesel and will never own or ride in a gas pickup again.
keep on keepin on...
BOTTOM LINE IS YOU GUYS ARE A DIESEL LOVERS BEST FRIEND AND DONT CHANGE A THING JUST KEEP THE MAGAZINES FLOWIN AND EVERYONE WILL STAY HAPPY.
one more thing i think you should make some shirts and stickers and stuff like that. i know if i seen an article on them i would try to get some shirts and stickers wright away.
i will advertise as much stuff for this magazine and site as i can.
were pissin up a rope guys!!!

i know that about half the cars in europe are oil burners, although they are targeted towards fuel economy rather than power like our heavy duty american truck market i wonder if there are any real big power houses over there. I think that would make an interesting story about a real power house that we might not be use to.

I would like to see diesel power do and article on the Steiger line of tractors. The Steiger was designed by the Steiger brothers which were farmers themselves. The Steiger tractor was simply designed for easy to get parts and maintenance. This line of machinery was designed by farmers for farmers and is not over engineered like the 4 wheel drive tractors of today. The Steiger line of tractors is a legendary line in the agriculture industry.

I am a poor working stiff that would like to purchase a used diesel pickup truck. I would like to encourage those versed in this market to shed a little insight as to which vehicle I should consider buying - and why. In conjunction with the year, make and model of a prospective vehicle what else should I be considering? If I'm looking at a 10 - 15 year old vehicle how can I best tell whether or not it will be worth the investment?
Thanks alot,
Newbie2
