I'm definitely with hustler_shan's comment:

"one more thing i think you should make some shirts and stickers and stuff like that. i know if i seen an article on them i would try to get some shirts and stickers wright away."

I would absolutely LOVE to have a Diesel Power Magazine T-shirt!

I love reading diesel power its hands down the best truck mag out. I can prove that because my issues lie next to the penthouse in my apartment and 90% of my friends go right for diesel power lol. But something I would really like to see is an issue with witch of the big three put out the most reliable high millage diesel truck with good all around performace. I think this would be a great article to read and help those who are looking to buy and diesel powered pickup. And raise a few arguments!

i am fairly new in the diesel market and love having a place to go that i can read about what guys are doin to their rigs, and problems that can arise due to certain mods and whatnot, i personally would love to see a big three shootout, get ford dodge and chevy out and go head to head stcok, with real no bs #'s to settle the whole hp/torque stock debate, and i would love to see more do-it-yourself articles... absolutely love the mag though, oh and a readers rides section or something, or a gallery that you can post photos on, and possible do an article on the readers truck of the month or something...

It would be awsomwe if you did a wright up on how to get max preformace and power out of a first generation cummins diesel (1989-1993). I have one and its so hard to find go info on get some sweet power out of it. Can you talk about the intake exaust, turbo, injectors and pump, and anything else like injection, that you can think about. And when i do all of that i will send you lots of pictures.

you know every body talks about talks about fuel mileage and and programmers and stuff like that witch is a big deal and I love reading about them and I do use them but in your last issue you ran an article about gas vs diesel and and you said that it would take some thing like 3.34years or some think like that to pay for this 6,895 dollar option of the diesel motor but you never took in to account  the higher cost of maintaining a truck like that and I would really like to see some thing like a actual cost of owning a diesel pickup vs. a gas pick I think it would be vary interesting reading and some great knowledge to retain.

rough estimate every 15,000 miles oil changes gas=$100 diesel=$150
every 15,000 miles ($3 for it)fuel gas=$2,647 diesel=$2,250
total gas=$2,747 diesel=2,400
thats comparing like 2000 model gasser with a good V8 and a 2000 model ford with a 7.3 diesel I pretty sure the 5.9 and 6.6 are a little cheaper on the oil
(oil changes inclued filter)

Great mag, i'm hooked, reading for a year. Actually my wife subscribed for my birthday and gave it to me when i bought my truck. I'd like to see the 3 big diesel makers way in here with actual tech data, like max design EGT's, max RPM, max boost, and fuel economy, real world numbers, also repeat problems that they see.  This would give us help in preparing our trucks for power, fuel economy and reliability. It would cut down on their costs for warranty too. They share all of this data with NASCAR and the NHRA to make them go fast and stay together. The manufacturer's tech people of the Big 3 are racer's, puller's, and owners of the vehicles too, i would like to have them help us out too.

i saw an article in truck trend today about mihindra plaaning the sales of diesel pick ups in 2009. the picture makes it look like a cheap entry level utility pickup. our local caseIH dealer sales mihindra so i think it would be neat to see an article about a new diesel truck that might be coming to local dealers.

I like everything but how slow the site loads. And I have DSL, I'd hate to see what it is like on dial up.

I'd like to see a story concerning a basic single turbo upgrade on a "typically" modded truck. By typical, I'm talking what I believe 90% of the modded trucks out there consist of: An aftermarket intake, larger exhaust and 70-150 hp worth of extra fueling. Most stock turbos are starting to give up at the 70 hp limit anyway, so lets see what a turbo like an Industrial Injection Super Phat Shaft 62 (or equivalent) would do for an engine like this. A turbo big enough to make a differance, but not so big that the truck can't be used like it was intended to be.

Sure the trucks running huge twins, stacked boxes, tweaked pumps and injectors that dump fuel by the bucket-loads make for big dyno numbers and great reading, but most of us either have no use for a set-up like that, or simply can't afford to dump $20,000+ in extras into our daily drivers/tow rigs. It's kinda like a guy who owns a fairly stock muscle car reading about fellers that have tubbed and caged '67 Camaros running blown 632 cid big-blocks sucking down nitrous and alcohol by the gallon and running 8's in the quarter mile. Sure it's cool to see, but it may be hard to relate with it.    In case you didn't realize, I'm in the market for a turbo!

I-6 Cummins guys are keepin' it straight. Those other boys swing both ways.
