Electronic 4x4 problem, HELP!

I have an 04 PSD and I am currently at the beach on vacation.  I could not get my truck to go into 4x4 LO, does anyone know what may cause this?
I have an Edge Platinum Juice, could this be causing the problem?

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken!!!

No, It worked fine in 4x4 HI but would not go into 4x4 LO.  I will try and put the edge back in stock mode to see if that helps.  Any suggestions?

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken!!!

Did you put the truck in neutral?  I'm pretty sure once you're in HI you have to put the truck in neutral to get it into LO.  

I hate to ask, but is your truck a fully automatic 4x4? I have a 03 f350 and I need to lock the the hubs for 4lo. automatic on mine is 4hi only. I can switch the dial to 4lo. but I have to lock'em to get it to show 4lo. How do you like the edge tuner and besides the power does it give you any better fuel economy?  

Not to be a jerk, but what does the owner's manual say? I really can't remember the last time I used 4LO. I will say that the Edge has NOTHING to do with it what so ever.

i know that with the two fords i have owned,a 97 and my current o4, in order to shift the transfer case into 4LO, the transmission has to be in neutral prior to shifting the transfer case.  

I've been driving my mom's jeep liberty today and noticed that you could shift into 4hi on the fly, but to get into 4low you have to shift into neutral.  Just a little something I caught today when I was driving and wishing it was a diesel.  

I believe the trans. has to be in neutral, with your foot on the brake pedal to allow 4lo.  The 4x4 module looks at the brake switch as well as the trans. range sensor.  The speed sensor has to be at 0 mph too.  The same applies to get out of 4lo too.  I don't think the edge has anything to do with it either.

Thanks for the feeback. Things have been crazy since vacation and I haven't had much spare time to get back in touch.  My truck has automatic hubs, 2 days after the problem I tried it again in nuetral with my foot on the brake and it went into 4lo just like it should.  OPERATOR ERROR!!!

I like the Edge Tuner alot.  The fuel mileage has improved about 2 miles city and about 3 miles on highway.  The edge is very user friendly.  The only bad thing I can say about it is every once in a while the Turbo cooldown shuts of when I turn the ignition off instead of the 350 degree setting I have it on and one time just recently it wigged out and reset itself and I had to start from scratch with the settings.  It was no beg deal really but the tranny had to relearn again which keeps the hard shift from kickin in for a couple hundred miles or so.  Fortunately no Mustangs wanted to play before it relearned again.  I will be purchasing the unlock code soon to get an xtra 20 HP or so.

350 is cookin try 300 this is cool enough to keep the oil from burning to the turbo's bearings also turning the A/C and fans to the off position will help it cool down faster
