NEED HELP ??

I HAVE A 2007 5.9L DODGE 2500 WITH 15000 MILES, IT HAS afe STAGE 2 INTAKE AND A mbrp TURBO BACK EXHAUST,AND HAS AN AUTO TRANNY W/ 5-STAR TORQUE CONVERTER...I WANT TO BUY A PROGRAMMER THAT THROWS OUT BLACK SMOKE...IM NOT DOING ANY TOWING, ITS MY DAILY DRIVER. I WAS LOOKING AT THE PPE HOT XCELLERATOR OR THE EDGE JUICE..  

Why? You know that is wasting fuel right? Black smoke means there is too much fuel being burnt for the amount of air available.

Anyway, just about any big box programmer set on its highest level will fuel the engine beyond what the stock turbo can handle and you will smoke.

The first thing you should do before you buy the downloader is buy a set of gauges to monitor your engine.  If not you're going to melt your engine down before you know it, when you dump all of that black smoke your EGT's are skyrocketing...I guarentee it!!!  Especially when you have the downloader on it's highest setting.

ya gauges are the very first things i bought on this truck. i know the black smoke is unburnt fuel, but i love it when is rolls out lol..

yes i love the same look    it makes me feel like im makin huge power. and i am                           never heard of an 07 5.9L thought they went to 6.7L in 07.   fact i know they did cause i own one.

try stacking. just do some research before u go buy the highest hp chip and the highest hp programmer. i think DP did an article on this awhile but I can't remember if they said of any good combo's. BUT i've been told the powerpuck and diablo downloader make for a good combination. OR in one of DP's sister magazines they do an article where the stack a TS performance MP-8(i think is the name of it) and the diablo downloader and got a lot of power out of it and only reported a rough idle(which Diablo takes the blame for and is working on an update). hopefully that helps a little.

the others should work seeing as the Puck,Striker,and Bullet are basically inline modules meaning that they will add fuel on top of the programmers fuel increase thus adding more power and that black smoke you love

There were a couple carry-over 5.9L engines put into the 07 Rams before the 6.7L went into full production. My Edge "hot" Juice smokes with the best of them, plus it came with the Attitude Monitor to keep an eye on things and de-fuel when things get out of hand so you don't have a melt-down.

Keep one thing in mind though, if you're throwing enough fuel to make 'er smoke the way you want, you are most likely making more power than your transmission is going to live through. Just my $.02. Good luck!
