i've just got an 07.  It sites on 20% oil presure and gits 14 miles to the gallon.  to me it has lost some power, but my engine light is not coming on. if i read the it right.  thedieselpage said gmc extended there warranty for 200,000mi. i m still wating for my light to come on. i only have 45,000 mi on my. it also seemes harder to start. i know 03 and earlyer are having injecter problams still.

Yeah GM extended the warranty because they stand by the Duramax and they want a satisfied Customer.

HEY GM extended the warranty to 200,000 miles, That way you mite see a DURAMAX reach the 200,000 miles.

Yeah Roger if you want good information on resolving issues with your Duramax, go to dieselplace.com.

PS The fuel filters are a huge issue with the duramax, the filters like previously said, do not have enough filter surface to clean the diesel fuel properly to work efficiently with the modern high pressure injection system. Its the root to alot of annoying evils with the motor itself. Honestly from the research I have done one of the biggest things that can be done to alleviate these fuel system woes, is to either install the nictane filter system, or even better, putting a FASS or Airdog (which was engineered and is made by the same guy that invented the FASS system its just cheaper) system on your truck. It allows you to have up to a 3 micron filer, better water seperation, and a boost in line pressure to share the load of the c3 and injection pump.

he just said that gm has all kinds of injector issues ben, and that it would be a good idea to replace the stock system with the fass...  
'99 7.3 psd, afe stage 2 magnum force intake, banks six gun tuner(+62rwhp), superchips 1705 max micro tuner(+110hp), 4" mandrel bent exuast, 6" lift, ranch hand front and rear replacement bumpers, custom lights and lots of other cool gee-wiz stuff.

is that so ben you seem to think that if one cummins or powerstroke have a problem they are all JUNK you are a waste of flesh and good breathing air.
