That is a good man. John Deere is way overrated!! Please tell me your not an IH man.Ford is the best for fuel effieciency and the Nebraska Test site results back that up.

One reason I like John Deere is that they always have parts in stock, no matter what the age of the tractor is. There is also a dealership somewhere in the area at all times. I have a Case skid-steer loader that we bought from a place near here. The shop there is so slow at getting things in and out that we started taking the machine to the John Deere place in another town. We know the service managers and the operator of the dealership, and they have always gotten us in and out. As far as John Deeres not having good fuel economy, well in my experience they tend to put out more power than a similarly rated tractor of another brand. I have had three tractors in the 50-60 pto horsepower range. The two John Deeres always felt like they had a little bit more power. I'll take a little less fuel economy if that means that I can get my bale buggy going fast enough to go through the mud puddles on my place. BTW, that Ford tractor's PTO was geared to where the engine was only turning 1800, while the John Deere is rated at the 2200 rpm range. That certainly could explain some of the fuel economy differences, but my new tractor has a PTO setting that lowers the rpm to 1800 rpms when desired. Another thing, those Ford tractors are overweight, and overly fat.

Sorry E2 I must have stuttered, Hey wanna see something cool go to www.fleeceperformance.com. Front page thats a 500RWHP 24v (soon to be common rail) back up with huh go figure an allison. A SC stage 4 ally to be more accurate. I bet chase is just confused to think that that trans will hold up behind that mighty cummins, and im gonna be sure to tell him not to try and pull more than 15,000lbs cause the trans wont do it.

hey twigsandberries, are you retarded too! what does a suncoast allison have to do with a stock allison. I guaranty that a stock cummins will make mincemeat out of a stock allison.

Outstanding you cought it. Your right its a modified transmission behind a modified Cummins. Thats the point E2 complains about trashing 3 transmissions because he spent all his money on making power and not putting it to the ground. I have said before there is not one transmission that out of the factory will stand up to 500-600HP stock. The funny thing is hes is on here bashing the allison transmission which is probably one of the most renown automatic trans maker on the market trusted to back up the best and most powerful power plants on the market ie: CAT, Cummins, Detroit, International.... you get the point. I kinda get the funny feeling that being that they basicly designed the Heavy Duty Automatic transmisson that they proly know what there doin. Truth be told it sounds like he is complaining that he made to much power. Tune it down or spend the money and get it to the ground, if you still think its weak then complain.

E2theRock2: Hey Balls2go, I owned a 2006 Chevy 2500 crew cab Duramax with the allison and i had nothing but problems with it. I had three transmissions put in it. I dont like the allison because it couldnt take what i needed it for. I traded it earlier this month and bought the Dodge and i have had no problems with it doing the same stuff the Duramax had to do. So next time you run your mouth like DuramaxBen is so good at doing maybe you outta do your homework and read all the DuramaxBen posts so you know what you are up against.

Seeing that you are never on and you are like the other retards that get on here and run there mouths without reading up on the real story. I remember telling you on the 2004 Duramax Good Buy or Not? that i kept the tuners down to the TOW level (50hp) except when i was racing. I dunno if you just have trouble reading or what. I trashed three trannys from what i think was heavy load pulling. The heavest trailer i ever pulled was 21,000 pounds i believe. After everytime i pulled the tranny would get hot or would slip or something, it was a constant battle all the time. Now if the trans cant handle pulling a trailer on a regular basis and the occasional race or heated driving session then maybe its worthless? I am not the kind of driver that puts the throttle to the floor all the time, I am the kind of driver that drives like an old man unless I am racing or smoking out a ricer. If a trans cant hold that little of abuse then i think it is worthless. Now my Cummins is a different story, the trans slips going into to fourth only if i have the petal to the floor and its been pullin the same trailers almost everyday since i bought it and i have doen heated driving sessions with it and it seems to be holding. That doesnt mean that I'm not going to do any trans upgrades infact it is the next thing on my list and I'll prolly have a new trans in by the end of March. The reason I'm doing this is because one of my friends grenaded his 48re and then put a stock one in and now its slipping again. I would say it safe to say that it is smart for me just to get a better built one before mine goes that way i wont be out of a truck. Maybe my Allison was just a lemon or something i dont know but that put a very bad taste in my mouth especially because it had problems from day one.
