Pulling my 8,000 lb 5er will drag my fuel mileage down to 13-14 highway on average, though the worst it's been was most likely dragging said 5th wheel up the 7% 20 minute long grade going in the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park in 3rd and 4th gear (damn construction). I'm certain that was a single digit pull.

the worse ive seen was with my grandfathers 99 24 valve 5 spd 4x4 long bed.  We were pulling a 32000lb trailer with cattle from indiana to denver, we were getting 14-15 but then we hit kansas and hit a 35 mph susbstained head wind with gust up to 60 miles an hour and our fuel mileage dropped to 11.8

1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins 24 valve, 5spd with south bend 550hp+ clutch, 150 horse injectors, Fram Boost intake(for now), Edge Juice with attitude, 150 gph fass fuel pump and much more, all together 450 dyno proven HP and 1170 ft lbs.

Wow. I'll bet you guys are glad you bought a Dodge. The 6.4 Power Stroke gets those kind of figures when you drive it like a grandma unloaded, never mind when towing a trailer!

Though there are some people who will claim otherwise, it's doesn't seem to matter if you buy a new Dodge, Ford or Chevy, if it has all the 2007 emissions schit bolted to it, you might as well have saved your money and bought an old Big-Block gasser. The EPA has killed anything that resembles good fuel economy in the new diesel trucks.

So far. I really like them. Have only got about 5000 miles on them but they still look like they did when I first put them on. They ain't no mudder, but they do better in mud than a "standard" A/T. They really impressed me in the snow this winter as my truck is near worthless when it comes to snow. I had a set of Pro-Comp's Mud Terrains on before I bought these. They were a good tire, a little noisy when they got wore beyond 1/2 tread, but they wore GREAT for a mudder under an 8000 pound truck. Got 35,000 miles on them (rotated every 3000) before winter. Most likely had another season or so left in them, but didn't want to chance it in the snow as thin mudders and Ohio winters don't mix well. If I can get 35,000-40,000 out of a mud tire on this truck, the Extreme A/T's should go 50,000 pretty easy. The only "down side" to the X M/t is they are directional and can't be rotated in the conventional way. You can only swap them front to back, you can't cross them without dismounting the tires from the wheels and turning them around.

Dieseldude...had the pro comps, loved the tire but only got 25k miles before bald (rotated every 5k and had to pay for it because they are directional)..tried Toyo and Nitto and they wore even worse...BFG's always go around 50k, even on my 1 ton 4x4.....just for kicks I went to my local Tire Kingdom and asked if they would match Tire Rack's price and believe it or not...they BEAT the price!!! The installation even included road hazard AND FREE rotations and balancing. Ended up gettting the BFG's for less than the Pro Comps...shot in the dark saved me about $180

driving through kansas BLOWS ASS!! lol i hate that state unless they changed it since last time i was though there the speed limit running through the majority of colorado even in most part of the mountains was higher than the F'IN speed limit of kansas and its all open fields and straight roads nothing there at all. AND those state cops arent afraid to pull you over even if your only doin 5 over.

worst i have ever gotten was headed west from cheyenne to laramie, wy in a 2000 powerstroke w/ 6 speed pullin a 5000lb trailer. Had a major wind storm that day burned 12 gallons in 52 miles which works out to be just over 4mpg. Had to run 5th gear foot to the floor just to pull 60mph. worst in any of my cummins is 12 pullin my toyhauler up I5 to the oregon coast the whole trip is up and down thru the mountains and i usaully pass everything in sight.
