HI Big orange, The JEEP looks great, I see you spent alot of time & money, YOU WILL LOVE THAT JEEP, BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS, YOU PUT INTO IT. MY SON WANTS THE NEW JEEP 4-DOOR RUBICON, BUT HE DOESN'T HAVE A JOB, and I'M NOT GOING TO SIGN A CONTRACT, MY WIFE SAID SHE WOULD GIVE HIM HER 2002 HONDA ACCORD EX V6 4-DOOR.  

haha thanks man, i dont want to say that it was a buget build, but who the heck am i kiding, of course it was. hahaha but seriously this thing has been my dads and my project now for atleast 3 years or so. and about the new jeep, tell him this, true jeep are built not bought. if he want a jeep get him an older one that way you can jack it up or w/e and still be able to play with it. the only reason i got a new truck when i graudated from highschool was because i had enough to put a downp payment. thanks enjoy!!! i know i will when its done!  

I HAVE SPOILED HIM A BIT, HE HAS EVERY VIDEO SYSTEM MADE, and HE HAS NEVER BROKEN A SWEAT!! THE ONLY CHORE HE DOES IS TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE!! EVERY TIME HE GOES OUT WITH HIS GIRL-FRIEND, OR HIS FRIENDS, I HAVE TO CRACK MY WALLET OPEN!!! HE'S 17 YEARS OLD, I SAY IT'S TIME HE LEARNS HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE A BUCK!!!!  

me tooo!! i started working as soon as i turned 15 but thats just me, i tell ya what hes going to SOL when he goes to college and lives on his own! lol  

thats awesome i have a jeep to that i built back when i was in highschool, it's a 83' cj-8 scrambler. no real off road goodies but new fiberglass body, 4" lift springs 33x12.5 bfg mud terrains. after my second t5 transmission i pulled the 258 6 banger and t5 out and slapped in a 360 and 727automatic out of a grand wagoneer. i wish i new how to post pics but i will try and add it to readers ride. the only sad part is, is that it is a gas burner but if i had deep pockets it would be an oiler to. like he said when you do a complete build up like that it is definately something to be proud of, i know i am.

What trans are you going to run? I don't think the T-176 that probably came stock will hold up. You might want to look at the Ford T-18 (it has a much lower 1st gear and shorter input shaft than the Jeep T-18) The GM SM465 is a nice 4gear as well.

That thing is freakin awesome! Boy i wish i had the money/time/ablity to do that, unfortanatly i dont have enough of any of those, lol, someday. I just got a 77 CJ-5 Renegade Levi Edition(used to be, still got the stickers but not the top/seats), im puttin the lift on in the next week or so, need to paint it, the stock brown paint is startin to chip, but the 304 V8 has been basically rebuilt and will haul a**. Id love to put a 4bt in it but i will have to stick with the 304 and the 3 speed until something tears up, hopefully i got a while, lol  

you should take out that t-150 and put in a t-18
