I like the trucks in the magazine; there's a lot of useful information. But I think the magazine is missing the boat in a potentially huge area: diesel tractor pulling. The readers love all of the trucks with stacks belching smoke from twin turbos at 70-100 psi at 3,000 rpm. Why wouldn't they love to see tractors that make 125 hp from the factory with a single charger transformed into smoke bellowing machines that use up to 4 turbos to make close to 250 psi of boost and turn 7000 rpms and make 2000-3000 horses? And these tractors can weigh between 8,000-10,000 pounds, about the same as a diesel pickup. Can we see so features on some of the big names in pulling, such as Esdon Lehn? An article on some of the Super Semi pullers would be nice too, where you can see 1150 ci Cummins engines with 4 chargers, and weigh 20,000 pounds.

There We Go. Got to love that diesel! Yea, I like the diesel tractors. But I have more experince here with our Ford Powermaster 800 gas, MY 1953 Farmall Super C gas with a Fast Hitch, and our International 506 gas. We do have a newer diesel tractor my grandpa bought before he died. It was a John Deere 15?? (I forget the model number right now)
Anyway, I like watching the oil pulls (antique tractor pulls for you outside Ohio and Kentucky) at the antique machinery show too. Every now and then you will see a rare antique diesel. I SAW A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE FORd 800 ONCE! THOSE ARE RARE NOW!

I KNOW!! When I saw it I went up to the guy and asked about it. He said his granpa bought it brand new from a local tractor dealer. It was a weird four wheel drive set up too. It had an EXTERNAL driveshaft. It was mounted on the left side of the tractor. It came out of a plate moutned to the side of the trany. I had always wondered what the plate was for on our 800 Powermaster. The front end was a normal curved 800 axle, but had a pumkin in the middle. It was completly restored too. The man said his grandpa and dad used it till it almost fell apart from the rust, and then he restored it. I want one bad now! I saw another 800 Powermaster that was Diesel. http://www.ovams.org/ That is the show we go to every year, and that is where we saw it!

Now we are talking! I quit buying the mag for the last couple of months,I was getting tired of 5@6 in exh, trucks made from billion dollor comp money, only things being showed was trucks avertising some product that some shop installed on there truck for them etc. Nothing real any more.Off road mags do the same thing always the same suspension conversions over and over.
A real toy for big boys.I installed a 5.9-B Cummins, P-7100 inline stage one pump, banks cooler,5in exh, removable air bags for towing, 1in body lift,2in hanger lift,2 12in elect fans, customized mounting,(eng mounts, intake piping, trans adapter etc) Runs on home made bio-fuel at 70 cents a Gal.

Yeah but sticking out is not always a good thing.I don't want to stand out for anything other than having a nice stock truck that I can be proud of.
