more black smoke

Where can I get a smoke switch and how would I go by installing it.  

All you need to do is to get a simple toggle switch(on/off switch) and tap into the 5v positive lead and signal lead on your map sensor connector. I put a LED rocker switch in mine and mounted it a little below the steering column. Anyways it should give you an understanding of how it works if your still a lil confused.

Hell if you want smoke pull off an intercooler boot you just won't have no freakin power. smoke ain't everything but one thing i would try is a MADS Smarty programmer.. It's a pretty good bang for the buck. Pretty decent power and smoke for the price and it's just dropping in a new calibration like a hypertech or superchips...except unlike them the SMARTY isn't junk. Ok since you know the dude who owns TST do you want to explain something to me? I mean since you know the guy you probably hear stuff all the time right? You wanna tell me why Superchips is discontinuing their Max Microtuner programmer? Just thought i'd see if you knew anything.

I'll try the switch and get back with you guys.  As for the smarty programmer, let me research on that first.  By the way, want kind of a deal.  I was thinking about the workhorse mod.  Let me know what you guys think.

Pour oil into his exhaust? Are you serious? Wow, alright. If your curious as to how a smoke switch works then check this out http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002-dodge/bombs/edge-comp/edge_comp.htm Look at the bottom of the page you'll see it! That should give you a slight understanding as to how it would work. Basically what it is doing is fooling it to thinking it's at full fueling regardless of pressure n' stuff. Take a look at the youtube vid I posted on the last page about a smoke switch install and maybe that might help as well.

All the smoke switch does is short your MAP Sensor's 5V Reference to Your signal return and fakes the pcm in thinking that the engine has full boost so it dumps full fuel when it doesn't actually have it... watch ur egts....

you can make a smoke switch here you go (yes this is a gen 2 ram and i know that your gen 3 has like 4 wires coming out of the MAP sensor)

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken!!!

OK so I took a look at the videos, unless I'm mistaken, the smoke switch wont work on my truck, being as old as it is. It is real cool though. I think I am screwed on smoke though. I'm only going to be able to afford a fuel plate, air intake, exhaust, maybe air intake manifold. I dont think injectors are in the equation, unless somebody can find me some dirt cheap stage 2 injectors. Does anybody know anything about adjusting the P7100 to deliver more fuel? I think that would bring on more smoke...???

yep that truck is a dinosaur just read throu the tech section on this web site they have a build up on a 12 valve it will lead you to the smoke

man, let me tell you something, josh knows his stuff and i can personally testify that he does know the guy very well.  Josh pretty much knows the ends and out of these motors and much more then most, with that said, he maynot be the most knowing person in every area, but i bet you anything, he knows who to ask, that working for cummins test cell department, hes in on alot of updated stuff, more then whats published.
