trying to install a banks six gun on my 04 2500 cummins, when wired up it runs like sh**,throws my check engine light for the crankshaft position sensor #p0336,replaced today still does the same thing,SOMEONE PLEASE HELP  

id call banks man sounds like somethin is screwed up with the program.  

sounds like a typical banks product to me overpriced and not worth a crap  

i don't know, i have the six gun on my psd and its been nothin but terrific for me. i've had nothin but trouble from bullydog products, i'd put a call in to banks and ask em to replace the unit with a new one.  

Did you get a fix with the banks six gun tuner whenit was tripping the crankshaft sensor and engine light??

I just bought an 04 ram 2500 last week and it came with the banks six gun tuner with pillar gauges and exhaust. my engine light came on five days later with codes p0336 and p0338. I just paid $300 to a dodge dealer to rip it out and put back to stock. does any body know a good computer chip that wont cause engine lights to go on?  

There are 2 fixes available from Banks at no cost, just shipping.  One is a simple 8 channel loop back plug that you hook up to the back of the six gun unit...it's basically worthless, appears to shut down the module to just above stock and dropped my mileage by 5 MPG.  The newest revision works extremely well, its a noise filter that prevents errant codes from being tossed by the camshaft sensor.  I had frequent check engine lights and a "stuttering" (backfiring??)during acceleration which often caused serious turbo wastegate blow off and a terrible jerking sensation of the whole flipping truck. The problems were solved immediatley with this 10 minute fix, and my mileage has bounced back up, along with performance.  Good Luck!
