What would be the absolute perfect year and setup for my application...i have a 35ft gooseneck livestock trailor that i haul pigs in and i need a different towing rig my old dodge just isnt doing it for me anymore shes starting to die slowly so i was just wondering what you guys had to say about the absolute best year to get....im looking for resonable mpg's/tuneability/easy to modify/reliable/easy to maintain/and doesnt ride like tank.

Thanks

Get a newer Common Rail Cummins they are easy as hell to get aftermarket stuff for and parts are cheap and they have good ride quality plus they have all the pulling power you'll ever need.

It depends on how bonkers you wanna go. The most expensive i saw was an 07 5.9 for $38,450 and the cheapest thing i saw was an 03 5.9 for $17,000

thats sounds like the better choice, that emissions crap kills fuel economy and power

yeah around then   mbrp makes dpf back exaust systems  but your still loseing at least 30 hp with the dpf/cat  but yes 07 5500 cab and chasiss  is such a great deal you can get them in the four door crew cab or whatever its called and a 2 door  you can also get them sent out with some dealers to get a 10ft box like a stock truck for something like 8k?  its not cheap but worth it
