Last night my trans goofed up and now its throwing the P0700 code. Its the trans system control malfunction code. Has anyone else had this problem? What should i do?
I drive an 04 Duramax i have the edge Juice with attitude with the Diablo Sport Preditor Stacked on top of it I have a K&N cold air induction And a 5 inch exhaust turbo back. 16X8 Dick Cepek DC-1 Rims 285 Cooper Discoveries STT Auto meter Phantom Boost and Pyrometer. Newly added PPE Boost Increase valve. Member- Blowin smoke gang.

I would light your truck on fire and dance around it.......... ok just kidding.... That is your main control to your trans try clearing it with your programmer and if that doesnt work pull your programmer off and claim warrenty on your trans and take it to your local GM dealer and I'll fix ya right up

ok good yea my truck is running fine its my annoying ass check engine light thats pissing me off. But i think i'm going to pull my chip and claim warrenty.

now i do i didn't last night it said Range Shift Prohibited i was pissed.

My truck did that when i blew up the tranny all three times except it didnt go into any gear.... lol

My truck has never done that. You must beat the piss out of your truck. Take it to a GM dealer and they will fix it.

rd if the allison is the best why cant it take a beating?
1997 f-250 7.3 powerstroke. just another old truck making big power hahaha my lug nuts need more torque then what your honda makes

really if the trans is so great why cant it handle more power, plus you hear about all those humvees over in iraq with the allison and i think those are 6.5's in there and they cant handle that?

whats up with these people that think just because THEIR truck doesnt screw up that the rest of the world is going to be flawless as well. i quarantee if OFD drove a dodge or a ford idiots like RD and ben would be talking about how its a piece of schit and buy a dmax. and will never have problems well obviously they do. there not a truck manufacturer on the road that never has problem. hate to break that to ya rd but its a FACT!!!

you know ive always heard of how good the allison is, but ive never heard of anyone having problems with the torqshift. i had my truck in for service for them to do a trans flush when it was new, and the mechanic forgot to tighten my drain plug. so it leaked fluid all the way home from brighton mi to south lyon mi, about a 20 mile drive. i noticed a streak of oil leading back to my house and i got out, looked under the truck, and saw no plug and a puddle of oil underneath. the torqshift is a great transmission. same with the e4od in my 96. it puked oil when i was plowing snow, i didnt realize it. so i pulled over 30 minutes later when my trucks rpms dropped to 0 and it died. i smelled oil and my trans was 10 quarts low. put 10 quarts in and it hasnt skipped a beat since, and i pull heavy trailers all the time

I work at a GM dealership as a Diesel tech (thats the "formal" name) and we have already had three seperate trucks come in with Allison problems. OFDs truck, a 2005 and a 2008. Yes a 2008 GMC!!! The six speed Allison blew up after only 6500 miles, and the guy hadnt pulled a load and didnt have any chips or anything aftermarket on it for that matter. We finally got the work order to tear into in today and me and another tech found that from the factory that the syncros in first, second, and third gears were all missing.... I remind you, from the FACTORY!!! Ridiculous.

sounds like to me that factory needs a better QC department
