With diesel headed to $5 a gallon, I know it's put the pinch on a lot of you guys. Some of you have already said you've cut back driving your big trucks, or have another commuter you're driving. If you do, what is it?

Do you wish you could buy a smaller diesel that gets 40-50 mpg? Are you mad that we don't have more choices in the U.S. for compact diesels?  

Yeah these inflating prices are killing me! It doesn't help that i'm a college student and most of my time needs to be devoted to that! I have an old '83 Toyota Hilux that I restored a few years back that I might have to start driving more. It would be nice to have more options as far as diesel rigs go but I really like bigger pickups. I don't think i'd ever buy a car though, I really dont like em'. The only cars I really like are the older muscle cars.  

ya got a 94 escort its nothin to look at but it racks up 30 plus MPG. never thought id have a car but with 4.19+ diesel and 3.60+ gas not much of a choice. $100-200 a month in fuel is a whole lot better than $500-600 I love drivin my trucks around but it cost 2 much money. hopefully someday the corrupt oil industry will calm down and stop killin us with these idiotic prices.
