no ben, you knew from day one, when you first joined and started braggin about the allison and i posted a comment about how many allisons that went out in our humvees and you called my fellow soldiers "stupid idiots that dont know how to drive them properly" and just because you stop insulting them temporaily doesnt mean we forget those comments, nor do we forgive you for them.  

Well I did appologize and I stand by my appology.Still the Humvees were not meant for racing and those kind of conditions.But at least GM supplies our guys overseas with a vehicle that is more than Ford or Dodge can say.  

for your information, dodge did supply the miltary from the end of WW2 until 1987 when GM beat them out  by being the lowest bidder.  we dont race humvees ben, we have to drive them according to combat conditions,  these things top out maybe 70 mph, not exatly racing, the damn things have had problems ever since they were first used.  they were designed for combat operations like that been, dont know what crap your smoking, quit trying to tell me about a vehicle that i know inside and out and rely on for my welfare.  youe neever driven one or worked on one, go ahead and try to say you did, i dare you  

Well see the Humvee itself is weighed down and slow putting more stress on the Allison.If you had a Dodge Automatic transmission in there it wouldn't even hack speeds of 55mph.

Weighed down? Only when you ride in it Ben But seriously, I think that no matter what tranny you put in a humvee it won't last as long due to the stress of runnin hard in the desert....  

true, the humvee doesnt wiegh near what most people think it ways, unless its an UParmored verison, M114, but the ones we had werent, they were just base model M1025s and 1026s
