I am putting a 5.9 12v Cummins into a 1993 K-2500 chev There is one problem, the oil pan is hitting the front dif. Does anyone know what I can do for this? I can modify the pan cover if I have to.http://forums.dieselpowermag.com/_siteconfigs/_global/images/community/bbcode/confused.gif

Well are you sure you want the Cummins? You could easily get a Duramax LLY or LBZ to fit in the 6.5s place. Are you using the Cumminses oilpan or the 6.5s?Try swaping oilpans if you can.

Cummins swaps into GMT-400s are relatively common. The only major issue, like you said, is the oil pan. Here's a story we did. Hope this helps.
If that link doesn't work for you, let me know. We've been doing some changes lately, and some of the links have changed.
