All,

I have owned mine for about a year now.  I have a 2008 CRD 4x4 limited.

As for the tuner boxes, I am not a big fan of those.  The proper way to do it is to have a full ECU tune.  A company called InMotion tuning offers this and they also do custom tunes.  While I do not plan to chip mine, this would be the way to go if you want to chip:  http://www.inmotionusa.com/jeepgraphs.html

With that said, MBRP offers the exhaust from DPF back.  The main bottleneck is the DPF so an exhaust mod (my opinion here) is not going to really yield better results on a dyno because even if you had a 5" pipe from the DPF back you aren't really getting more flow unless the DPF is removed.  If you are just going for looks here, the MBRP is a nice setup.  Also, many exhaust shops will make a custom exhaust for a vehicle....but expect to pay at least double or triple what the MBRP sells for and make sure they have a mandrel bend.  I personally think a 4" would look so cool in this truck.

On the air box, I have heard rumors that AFE has one in the works but the same thing applies as above.  You can get more air in, more fuel in, but you have to be able to get more exhaust out otherwise your EGT will skyrocket and you will have a melt down.

The bottom line is that you need to get rid of the DPF or somehow get a DPF that is capable of greater flow.  Then, after you add all of this, the ECU needs a custom tune to be able to take advantage of your new capability to get more air in and more exhaust out.

KNOWN ISSUES:  The turbo seal oil leak is a known issue.  There is supposed to be a redesigned intake and TSB released which eliminates the problem of oil leaking and causing the swirl motor to fail.  The problem is that then all this oil is going into your intake which is not good either.

CCV Filtration is the way to go and get rid of the oil problems for good.  I have the Mann Provent and others have installed the Racor.  This should be the first upgrade considered for the 3.0L Grand Cherokee CRD IMO.

BTW...diesel-economy here but I am known as nobluescreen just about everywhere else on the internet.
