RightWinger210:
hey gunman, that lifetime warranty sounds good, except for the fact you pay a quarter a mile after a certain amount of miles, i believe 30,000 mi or something, so when you go past that mark any more than 1 thousand miles, the mile charge will cost more than what breaks...
by the way, im a proud gun owner also, so ill stand behind you guys too!

If that's true, what a load of crap! Seems like it's nothing more than a marketing gimmick, then. I knew it sounded too good to be true. Besides which, other than the trucks and the Charger, Dodge doesn't have anything I'm interested in anyway. They killed my favorite car, the Magnum!

yeah, i havent got the full facts, but i heard it over the radio during the commercial for it, it also doesn't apply for fleet vehicles, SRT, and of course, diesel vehicles (I guess they dont want to warranty it for a life time because they will last a lifetime!) and if you sell the car the lifetime warranty expires, but the 3 yr/36,000 mi warranty still applies. As for the magnum issue, they still make it and sell it, but they changed the looks

RightWinger, I guess they looked at the Cummins and saw that it had a 7 year, 100k powertrain warranty, and on top of that, the first recommended overhaul interval for the engine was 350,000, and figured it would be a money loser. Probably the most claims were for transmission issues.

Magnum production is going through the end of '08, but after that, it's history.

Yep, one of the local PDs around here has Charger squad cars, and I saw a Magnum K9 unit yesterday.

Personally, I was holding out for a turbodiesel Magnum like the 300 Touring they sell in Europe. Doesn't look like that's going to happen. However, I did hear there's a faint possibility that they might sell the 300 Touring here (basically a Magnum with a 300 nose on it). I'd roll one of those.

That really sucks some people can not even get to work due to the limbing gas prices. I think they should rise the tobacco taxes and leave crude oil alone. But on the other side i think they are pushing until they reach the limit since no one is talking or saying anything about it. People should have a peaceful demonstration and tell them we know what they are doing. They think Americans will do what they want. Their is a lot of greedy people in power that don't give a crap what the little people feel. The rule around hear like it appears now is let the richer get rich and the poor get poor while someone is getting there pockets full of money they will never enjoy using, only if they are planning to build a diesel space shuttle. I am pissed and feel like crap every time i see a gas prices. What in the world is going on and is any one going to do any thing. On the other hand if we wait for a change it will never come we the hurting need to rise up and speak. Push our local reps and make sure they get the message or never elect them again. Soon there will be no law it will be gone. Do you know they push you so hard that you decide not to drive any more but continue to make payments for your truck if you are making one and insurance if you are insured while your lovely truck sits collecting gas. We need to ride our vehicle we paid for them its time we wake up and either come up with alternative fuel. LETS WAKE UP YOU WANT TO GO FORA FOUR CYLINDER WITH MORE GAS MILLAGE BECAUSE WE COULD NOT SPEAK UP WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF GASOLINE GOES UP?THINK,THINK AND THINK WHO IS LOOSING YOU NOT THEM. WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING NOW WE NEED TO WORK WITH WHAT WE HAVE NOT WHAT THEY MAKE US

Man I'm telling ya there is only one reason I enjoy being in Iraq. So I dont have to see the diesel prices at home. It's topped $4.60 from what my wife tells me. The other day my father in law caught a kid stealing diesel from the pump out at his farm!! Come on now!! But, sadly, yes it has come to this. Hell it was like that for me when I was at home. The military has plenty of unused JP-8 laying around, and I gladly put it in the tank (I now know to add lubricant) saving me a pretty penny. My wife has her own job, and her own money, and I have mine. Well last week I had to send her money just so she could get back and forth to college, work, and home. I hope it gets better.....

I heard a story about people drilling holes in the bottom of tanks to steal fuel out of cars and trucks.  Can you imagine coming outside and seeing you fuel gauge on e after filling up the night before?

If we dont do something as a country soon I would hate to see where it ends up.  Now is the time to do something peacfully, before we have to take to violent measures.

I feel you Cummunscowboy much respect you are my hero for all you do. I dont know what we need to do now i say when you come back home diesel will be more than what you hear. I wish i was getting free fuel but oh well pass the word until some one listens. It sucks i meet with an old buddy that was doing great but the sad thing with all the gas prices rising and no bus that goes where he works he cant afford it. He was crying while he was trying to get some food for his family at the food bank. SAD SAD . THE USA IS TURNING TO SOMETHING UNIMAGINABLE
