I just melted my 03 6.0L with 78,000 miles on the odometer and refuse to replace it. I did everything I could to make it last (four months past warranty experation). Go ahead, laugh now. I want a Cummins, but can't decide which one. I heard the 12V installs easier. I might have a 2000 doner. Any suggestions?
Isn't the '00 model 24v? 12-valves are pretty straightforward. Either one is OK. I heard the early 24v models had some injector pump issues, but the later ones should be OK.
the p-pumped 12vers are prolly the easiest to transplant due to least amount of wiring the 12 valve also has 3 holes on the block so it leaves more room for adjustability forward or back for motormounts. i dont think you will be disapointed if you do it. member-Blowin' Smoke Gangboard of directors
