i'm coming over to san francisco - in the uk i have a 1969 440 new yorker - and 4.6l super stretch landrover - i want to rent a big truck ideally with a diesel motor - ram 2500 or 3500 - ford f250 or f350 - or similar - does anyone know where i should look - and to make it more complicated ideally i want to drop it off in LA after 2 weeks - any help most gratefully received - oh and lastly stop bitching about oil prices - gas and diesel is about $2.50 a litre or $11.25 a UK gallon!!!

You might want to try Craig's List for private rental inquiries. In terms of commercial fleets, U-Haul, Budget and even Home Depot rent trucks, but you might have to specifically request a diesel. Hope this helps.
