It will handle it as long as you dont go crazy with it I myself would NOT get the banks version of anything (thats just my personal Preference). I got the BD and i love it. I wish you well on whatever it is you plan to buy.

Most build up are done close to the following

1. Cold Air intake
2.Gauges
3. Exhaust
4. Wastegate
5.Injectors
6. intake manifold(you really dont need it till you get injectors, from experience, its a waste of money till you have them)

stupid question but what power level are you wanting to hit???

before you get injectors, youll also need an aftermarktet lift pump, FASS or Airdog, thats my reccomendation after trying them all

Hey HC,
I've been driving diesels since I was old enough to ride a bike and they remain a passion now that I'm older.  I don't think I'll ever buy another "gasser" if I can help it.  So here's my two cents worth.

When you are upgrading a diesel, exhaust gas temps (EGT's) should be your main concern because super high temps break down oil and reduce or eliminate it's ability to lubricate.  the things that raise EGT's are Restriction, and Fuel.  The first upgrades you should persue are ones that enhance your engine's ability to bring in cool fresh air and get rid of the hot exhaust.  In other words, anything that increases performance without helping the engine breathe should be done last, i.e. chip, wastegate, wastgate actuator, injectors, etc.

For instance, I have an '03 Cummins and I want to build it up to about 800 hp/1200ft lbs torque and this is my plan-
I have already  done these things
1 - Banks 4" turbo back SS exhaust
2 - Greenfilter CIA
3 - 185 hp Predator chip

Gonna do these,
4 - Southbend DD clutch (already toasted the stock one twice! gotta love that power!)
5 - bypass oil filtration
6 - F.A.S.S. fuel system
7 - Gear Vendors overdrive
8 - intercooler (prolly Banks)
9 - intake manifold
10 - injectors and turbo (you want to do those at the same time because the extra fuel w/o extra air = bad economy)
11 - water/methanol injection (cools EGT's/boosts economy)
12 - new chip (don't know which one yet. maybe Banks 6-gun or Quadzilla)

Hope this answers some questions and helps you understand some of the dynamics of diesel performance.

Good luck to you and congrats on having a Cummins!

if you want it around 400 and still pull, no more then 90 hp injectors and you may find those to be too much as well
