hey ya,ll checked for a reply and realized i was kinda vague to be more specific the truck will start without diffuculty and run well at and idle for approx 1min idle quality then worsens until the vehicle stalls thx you for any input

First thing's first. Have you changed your fuel filter?
2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie 4x4. H.O. Cummins, 6spd manual trans, 4.10 gearing. Intake, Exhaust, Hot Juice, HTT HTB2 62/12/65, Jake Brake, 305-65R17 (33 x 12.50) Pro-Comp Extreme All Terrains, SBC Con O FE, Fuel Tank Vent Mod, Various other gizmos.
I-6 Cummins guys are keepin' it straight. Those other boys swing both ways.

brand new fass brand new filters it is not bad fuel got siphoned out and ran trough the 12v not an air leak otherwise the prime would be lost owned truck for 2 years put 50k on it always practiced good pm habits before going to the fass cganged stock filter evry 3months and drained water daily filter never was bad trucks been stone cold reliable even when the tps went out ran like crap though so to sum it up pumps pumpin filters good fuels good i suspect a kink in the line a bad chip or possibly a wire tap for the vp44 pump came loose or its possesed by satan or its becuase im in iraq in stead of the usa an can,t lay my grubby little paws on it and fix cuase if theres one thing ive learned in 5yrs as a mechanic in the army it,s the little things that will bite you in the ass

OK. Next thing to check is if there are any codes. If there's a comm problem between the ECM and the VP-44, there should be a code or two locked away in there. If everything checkes out there, next think I would do is install a fuel pressure gauge. Though unlikely, it's possible you got a bad FASS.
