to muffler or to not muffler????

which would you prefer. I currently have a 5in turbo back with a muffler. would it be better to rid the muffler and straight pipe it?

what kind of truck do you have it on? if it is on a dodge and you straight pipe i have heard that if you fly down the interstate you cant even hear the radio. i have a muffler but no cat.

its a 6.7 my truck is got a complete straight except for the muffler

you might have to ask others but if you put it straight pipe i dont know how loud it would be i have heard it isnt that much different from stock.

straight pipe.... I have that on my dodge 3500 4x4 and yeah it's loud, but not too loud... just right if ya ask me.

even if you straight pipe it, it wont sound like a 3rd gen you have to get a dpf exhaust for it to sound like that (Delete Particulate Filter).

2001 5.9 ho 4in banks with muffler delete pipe drones pretty bad on the highway much as i hate to say it your better off with some kind of muffler funny thing is when i had the stock exhuast on it minus the muffler it sounded better than it does now oh well geuss ill throw a muffler in it when i get home

I think it depends on if you do a lot of long-distance hauling/driving. If you do, I'd go with a muffler, but if you just run around town, and the cops aren't total tools in your area, straight-pipe it.

ive got a striaght pipe on mine, even after running mbrp on two other trucks, i will never put a muffler on again, and i do long trips and hauls, the drone aint too bad as long as you dont have the windows down and radio off.  i actually barely notice the drone, i hear the turbo whine as i pull more then the drone.
