Out of total frustration i'm looking for an answer to my 2007 Ford 6.0 high EGT problem. My 6.0 only has 9000 miles on it and I've installed an Airaid intake,
a Banks (turbo back) monster exhaust and a Banks bullet tuner. In stock mode on a flat freeway with no load my EGT's are at about 900. Give it a little hill and I'm at 1100. I tryed the tow mode towing my fifthwheel and my EGT's went to 1389. Are these normal temps? What else can I do, or what have Ive done wrong? My truck is now useless. Anybody have any thoughts...  

hey get u a water methanol injection or nitrious...they both lower your EGT's...and are suppost to give you some horses.. i dont know yet,im about to get mine put on this week...so we'll see....oh yeah, mine with a five gallon tank cost me $650 with installion.....  

hey man sounds like something is wrong with your program on the banks system. i would get a hold of banks and let them know what the problem is. because with aftermarket air intake and 4" turbo back exhaust there is no way your egts should hit 1390 degrees with a trailer. i pull a 32' fifth wheel, and a 16' cargo trailer. on level 3 of my 6 gun the highest egt i have hit was 1260 and that was on eisenhower pass on I-70 in colorado. and running empty with the tuner on SL just cruising 80ish on the interstate im around 850 degrees or so. chrisfen is right about the water/meth it will help your egts stay lower. but it sounds like you have a bigger problem to solve first. good luck

Thanks guys, I've left 3 e-mails for Banks tech in the past 2 weeks with no answer from them. I did speek to one rep who said it was a Ford issue, good luck and then hung up. I'll try a different tuner this week, maybe an Edge.  

there are better products out then then banks, that are both cheaper and give ya better bang for your buck but to be on the safe side id invest in some head studs for that 6.0.  

Yeah I'd try a different tuner first, my truck hits 900 deg up hills with no trailer and it's non-intercooled, so there's no way you should be running hotter than me   let us know what you find out.

BANKS is a JOKE!!!!!! i will never buy another banks product for my truck again... but anyway look at sct for your programer they put out the best programmer for the 6.0. and if you can afford it go ahead and get yourself a set of headstuds intalled as well. if you plan on hot rodding your truck....
