has anyone tried to put a 6.0 turbo on a 97 ish 7.3...those things whistle like crazy and i like loud so ya lol...if its a bad idea what can i do to my turbo to make er scream

it wont work because there is no way to control the VGT in the 6.0 turbo unless there is some kit for it that i havent heard of but, you would better off just buying an aftermarket turbo

^^^^^^^ what he said. i thought the same thing but looked for a kit and never found one, so upgraded next will be a hypermax h-2 turbo for me
1997 f-250 7.3 powerstroke. just another old truck making big power hahaha
my lug nuts need more torque then what your honda makes

I've heard plenty of 7.3 Power Strokes that had lots of turbo noise. I'm sure there's a way to get your 7.3 to "whistle." ![]()

well i say *** the 6.0 turbo im going to put a couple 00-03 psd parts on my truck...turbo, hpop, injectors...ill see where that gets me for being cheap lol

no it doesnt, the 6.0 turbo is a vgt meaning the computer controls how it works, but running stuff off the 00-03 7.3s will add some power. bigblack97 my opinon is to ditch the edge programmer for a dp tuner chip they work alot better on the 7.3s then a programmer plus twist the knob and you can increase the power at the stop light to blow a little ricer away
