My buddy wants to turn up his 08 F-450. Its a 4x4 6spd. dually, Extended cab with a Flatbed, Really nice truck. I know SCT is claiming 120 rwhp, but what else is avail? boxes or programmers.

Also what kind of issues will we run into down the road? I know a clutch will be in his future, but what about problems with the DPF, EGR, fuel transfer pumps, etc?

I don't really think MPG is a concern for him, he just wants it to haul tail!

I don't know much about these engines, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

depending on where he lives and if he cares bout warentee i would start with the dpf delete turbo back exhaust. get rid of that chit will make a better running more fuel efficient truck anyway. and the aftermarket will be caught up soon on those trucks

Do you have any details? I know SCT offers tuners without Pyrometers. Is it possible these trucks were being driven by people who don't know the consequences when the pyro hits 1600+ for too long?

I need help!!  I installed an AFE intake w/dry filter and MBRP single side outlet exhaust and as soon as I hooked up my trailer (fifth wheel 13000 lbs)I did't make it two miles and my engine shut down and would not start.  Had to call roadside service.  Ford says 4 codes were thrown and that they indicate the problem is with the aftermarket air intake.  They refuse to honor the warranty until I replace the stock intake (threw it away) but would not tell me what specific problem was indicated by the codes.

what kind of exhaust did you do? dpf back? also they are to tell you what codes poped up and what the problem was they are blaming the aftermarket parts for a reason, so that they can make some money
