Just wondering if anyone saw the smoke flying at the National Tractor Pulling Championships in Bowling Green, Ohio last weekend. (August 15-17). I have never seen so much carnage. Broken axles, hoods blown off heads (along with the hoods and turbos), even glowing headers on a Mack V-8 diesel.

Aw crap! Was that last weekend? I was wanting to check that out this year. Never been to it.
2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie 4x4. H.O. Cummins, 6spd manual trans, 4.10 gearing. Intake, Exhaust, Hot Juice, HTT HTB2 62/12/65, Jake Brake, 305-65R17 (33 x 12.50) Pro-Comp Extreme All Terrains, SBC Con O FE, Fuel Tank Vent Mod, Various other gizmos.
I-6 Cummins guys are keepin' it straight. Those other boys swing both ways.

Yeah, it was packed; one of the guys at the ticket gate when asked if there were 20K people there, for the session, he said at least.

ANd I forgot to mention for all of you JD cult followers: the win count was: out of 10 possible wins in the Super Farm, Pro Stock, Super Stock Open (Alcohol) Super Stock Diesel, and Light Super Stock,
John Deere: 1
Agco (Allis Chalmers): 1
IH (Case-IH): 8
The only win for the Deeres was in the Super Farm class which is a crap shoot anyway because the class had about 60 in it and the track changes so much from start to finish, and every tractor is within 20 feet or so, since they all try to run the big gear and they all run out of smoke about 280-295 feet.
