I would like to hear you guys take on Global Heating?
Is it a load of crap or what? Bush has recently recognized “man made changes to the climate”.
So what do you think?

Honestly, the whole climate issue is secondary to me. The bigger concern for me is national security and energy indepdendence.

And although I don't necessarily think coal-to-liquid fuels are the answer to everything, I definitely think they're worth a look, especially since the U.S. is considered the "Saudi Arabia of coal."

Anyway, just my $.02 worth.  

They say global warming is real but countries all across the world had some of the coldest winters in a long time. I know here in north georgia, it was cold *** OK, so all you guys from up north might not agree, but you gotta remember, born and raised in GA, never seen more than a foot of snow, at least not at one time, lol, if the snow sticks to the ground the schools are closed. BLOBAL WARMING MY A**, it was cold as crap down here!  

I believe it's a load of crap. Just watch the History, Science or Discovery Channels. The Earth goes through natural warming and cooling cycles and has done so pretty much since the dawn of time. We are simply in the middle of a natural warming cycle. Most of the world's top geologists and climatologists agree that the Earth would be the same average temperature it is now,if humans never even existed. It's all just political B.S. the environmentalists use to push their agenda.  

Look at the "carbon footprint "crap they are putting out now,their veiw, The steak and potatoes you ate for dinner,the deserte you made all have a carbon footprint. the cow farted ,making a greenhouse emission,you farted ,and made a greenhouse emmission. the idea is that everything used to bring the meal to your table, and the storage,transportation,fabrication packaging,you get the idea...has a carbon footprint,of something nade or consumed..leaving you guilt ridden an wanting to eat you handgrown carrots you fertilized with stuff you made from the kitchen,,,sad really
and yes its a democratic tool to use against the govt,whn the elections are over things will be not so critical  

well if it was such a big deal then they need to stop sending all those planes into otter space not not to any thing but wasting fuel. Look at all the smoke that jet makes when it takes off that we paid for then tell us not to void warrantys by removing all that emmiss. crap This is what i have to say tell it to my tail pipe. By the way not to get to sprited on yall but its been getting warmer since the ice age and has not stopped yet yea right  

Actually, there have been several "ice-ages" in the Earth's history. The last one about 11,000 years ago. According to a recent article in Nature, "the current interglacial (warming-trend) might be most analogous to a previous interglacial that lasted 28,000 years. Predicted changes in orbital forcing suggest that the next glacial period (ice-age) would not begin before about 50,000 years from now, regardless of man-made global warming."  

Global warming is pretty much 2nd or 3rd when it comes to ecological issues, since there are actually still a bunch of unknowns such as our earths EMF. There are theories that our climate is even dependent on solar fluctuations from the sun's flares. And even if humans are a factor in the Earth's temperature, the impact is still pretty small.

But if anything global warming calls attention to, it's air quality. I would not let any of my future children live through the air quality of LA and let them risk suffering asthma for the rest of their life. The less pollutants we put into the air, the better for our own personal health anyways. I don't want to die early from cancer or other complications just because I've been breathing in too much toxic industrial fumes.  

bullsht. global whining is more like it. ALGORE and his posse of shtsticks want everyone to be driving a prius instead of trucks. if you look at it, its really what it comes down to. we cant change the climate in a matter of 75 years, just the thought is rediculous  

My bigger concern than climate change is energy independence. The U.S. has been operating on a debt-based economy for the last several decades, and it's coming back to haunt us. The Chinese and other foreign countries own the majority of our treasury bonds, and we're giving the Middle East and other areas hostile to use almost a trillion dollars a year. Whether or not you believe in global warming or not, becoming more energy self-sufficient isn't a bad idea from a national security standpoint.

I like eating lobster and other things that swim in the ocean. Sounds like my grandkids might not get that chance.

This is because the acidity of the oceans is increasing due to carbon buildup. Lets all take a breathe of fresh LA air and just relax.

I think we need to focus on making better more efficient homes and businesses since that is where most of the stuff is coming from.
