i know this because Cummins already has cummins engines in ford trucks, specifically the F-650/750 Here's proof: http://media.ford.com/products/presskit_display.cfm?vehicle_id=1300&press_section_id=398&make_id=92

anyway the Ford F-350 is a gorgeous truck yet the Powerstroke sucks actually all the newest diesels suck
so a lot of people would buy Fords since they are great trucks and now they'll have the best engines

I dont think so. The 650s and up have had a cummins option forever, a guy down the road from me has a late 80s-early 90s ford f-series (no numbers on the side but its equal to a 750) and it has a factory cummins. Besides, they also offer a Cat but you didnt mention that. Cummins has a contract with dodges light duty trucks, not the medium duty so they probably couldnt offer it in the light duty trucks, but im just guessing here... i'll see it when i believe it, but if i was a bettin man id say fat chance, cummins has a good thing going with dodge.

you know Cummins would be better off with Ford because Dodge trucks suck they are owned by Chrysler and anyway the Ford is a more luxurious and presentable truck i know I'd rather own a Ford Cummins than a Dodge Cummins

Being that i live in the town where cummins is headquartered and since Ive got a friend who works with cummins in their public affairs sections has for over 25 years,I can tell you that is just a rumor that is false. He has denied this rumor over and over. He did say that their is a new contract with ford to put cummins in medium duty trucks but that the contract from dodge prevents them from even neogiating a contract with ford for their light duty trucks. That contract runs for another 12 years. But i guess anything is possible
1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins 24 valve, 5spd with south bend 550hp+ clutch, 150 horse injectors, Fram Boost intake(for now), Edge Juice with attitude, 150 gph fass fuel pump and much more, all together 450 dyno proven HP and 1170 ft lbs. DPMAG May Ride of the Month
and a quote from Dmax007- this site is entirely the blind leading the blind. nobody on this site has the balls to stand up to this stupid blowin smoke gang. got news for you, i do.

sandslinger79: Ford wouldnt have jeperdized breeching with navistar to start their own diesel program just to turn around and lease the cummins
Are you kidding? Ford & Navistar HATE each other right now. You didn't hear about all the lawsuits going back & forth about the warranty coverage costs on the 6.0 PS. Believe me, if Ford could get out of the Navistar contract, I'm sure they would.
But the Cummins is the best thing that ever happened to Dodge, and they know it. I don't expect them to drop that engine, ESPECIALLY now that they're not under Daimler's fist. Dropping the Cummins for a Mercedes (probably branded as Detroit) diesel would alienate a lot of their most loyal customers.
But a CAT option in the Ford sounds feasible.

Yes i do know how much they hate each other and i know about the lawsuits for warranty and for breech. What i was saying is i dont think that ford would have pu themselves in the position of breech of contract by starting their own diesel program just to later sign with cummins. I know they want out but i dont think they want to pay the damages for breech of contract.

id rather have a ford with a cat motor in it. if i knew about the 6.6 acert cat motor before i did all that stuff to my powerstroke and bought my cummins, i would have spent my money on that.
1997 f-250 7.3 powerstroke. just another old truck making big power hahaha my lug nuts need more torque then what your honda makes

looks like the super-dutys down there get a version of the 3.9 baby cummins. brochure on the latin america cummins site says
"Com 3,9 litros, quatro cilindros em linha, quatro válvulas por cilindro, injeção eletrônica common rail e aspiração turbo intercooled, ele produz 203 cv de potência (a 2.900 rpm) e torque de 56 kgfm (a 1.500 rpm)."
now im not at all good with spanish but i can pick out a few numbers like 3.9 litros and 56 kgfm which converts to 405 lb ft. of torque

i found a link to the cummins/brazil site and it shown the 4.2 6 cylinder and maxpower 3.9 4 cylinder for the superduty, i figure the 4.2 is the V-6 since the 3.9 has more hp and torque
also the Ford ranger has a little 3.0 powerstroke
