out of the three which spool the fastest? flow the most air? keep egt's under controll and surge the least?
I've out grown the PDR hx35 i'm currentlty running on my 99 dodge 24v. fueling mods are as follows: edge comp 5x5 stacked with a Smarty, stock injectors. bigger injectors on the way (100h.p. range) i have a manual 5 speed so spoolup is very important. and i tow on a regular basis at high altitudes 10,000 ft. also could i get help on picking an injector to run ?

Thanx fellas!

HTT is relatively new to the game but i hear that they spool pretty quick. II, i have a phat shaft 62 on my 12 valve honestly i spools slower than the stock turbo. my filter is plugged up a bit i blew it out and i have a cleaning kit on the way from AFE so that may be the issue. phat shaft 62 is the smallest turbo they make for cummins. ATS claims quick spool good luck getting one though they are all a bunch of pr*cks if you ask me. you have to phone them about 10 times to actually talk to someone one of the worst phone experiences i have ever had. stacked chips 100 hp injectors would match up pretty good i think.

FS-2500 Bypass Filter. The only hands that work on my truck are my own.

HTT is going to be your best bet. They have the largest range of turbos to suit the the mods you have.I was going to go with BD until I chaecked out HTT. With HTT you will never out grow a turbo for $200 they will upgrade it to the next level and they have the quickspool housings. You should check them out.

HTT is a little more expensive than the Industrial, $1750 vs $1395 as long as the HTT is faster to spool I don't have an issue paying the extra cash.

injectors- i'm thinking of F1 mach 2's godd for 105 hp- Iwant sooth Idle and lowest possible EGT's (for injectors in the 100 horse range) anybody have input on the best injectors?

p.s. I greatly appreciate your input!

I agree w/t the other guys.  HTT is a great bunch of guys to dill with.  They won't talk you into buying something you don't need.  And set you up right.  My reply is depending on what your egts are and how much turbo lag you have you should look into changing out you intercooler.  The reason i say that is that the stock cooler is so resticted on the amount of air flow it can flow.  You will notice a difference for use in spool up and lower egts.

I'm also thinking of upgrading my turbo, so I asked Ted Jannetty of Jannetty Racing. This guy knows his stuff and hasn't steered me wrong yet. This is what he had to say:

The only way to get quicker boost is to change to a Garrett Powermax Ball bearing turbo. You will not only have quicker response you will have more flow and more horsepower and torque by simply bolting this turbo kit on. These turbos are simply the best thing to ever happen to the Diesel industry.

I have the ATS Aurora 4000.  It spools a little slower but I am in the process of upgrading my CP3 since it just went out and I am also getting a new exhaust manifold.  That should bring my spool down to the stock hopefully and once that happens, my boost launches will be more effective.  But I like the turbo from ATS, not to mention their coming out with a 4000 and 6000 compound so yeah, it should be good.

I have an HTT HTB2 (62/12/65) on my truck, which is, I beleive, the smallest they make. It spools every bit as fast, if not faster, and keep the EGT's 200-250 degrees lower than the ever did stocker did. I can now run the Hot Juice topped out, rowing through the gears at WOT and never see 1300 degrees. With the stocker I'd be over 1400 by the time I reached 5th gear.

I-6 Cummins guys are keepin' it straight. Those other boys swing both ways.
