I was under the impression that the new 6.4 was crap, i have a friend whose dad owns a ford dealership, and he told me that they are having all kinds of problems. I know like 4 people that have them and only 2 of them like them. I was also under the impression that there was only so much you could do with these new engines, ford chevy and dodge. A buddy of mine went to the dragstrip here (Atlanta Dragway, no where near Atlanta, go figure) and he said there was a 6.4L ford diesel runnin a low 12 and killing the hotrods. He said it had a shop logo on the side which might explain it but i wasnt aware that these new trucks would, or could safely haul that kinda ass...I trust my buddy on how fast it was and he isnt a diesel guy but he knows almost every truck inside and out. Anybody know about this truck?

It's possible. I'm guessing they probably chucked the DPF, and might even be running a stand-alone engine controller. If they're running 12s with just bolt-ons and inline programmers, I'd like to know what they're using!

They also could be using a fully-forged rotating assembly, which can take considerably more punishment than the stock PS internals. Heck, I've even seen steel pistons for diesels. Don't know much about them, but seems like they could handle some major punishment!  

rip off the dpf, and all the other emission crap. and get a spartan tuner and the 6.4 will be damn near at 500hp with the right tune??? so it is possible.
