hey guys i got a 97 2500 CTD and im a lil worried about my egts. its gotta #6 fuel plate and straight exhaust. I was wonderin if a boost elbow would be wise? mainly bc its cheap lol. but do i need a boost guage with this? and will i be able to tell a power diff?
97 Dodge 2500. CTD 4x4. #6 fuel plate and 4 inch straight exhaust.

EGT is definitely the most important gauge. Boost elbow would probably help airflow. But while you're at it, a boost gauge probably wouldn't hurt.

Boost elbows will lower EGT's. A combination of an Elbow and Intake would be best. RPMoutlet has some good deals on CFM and S&B Intake combos. You might like those. Give your truck a cool sound too. Unless a boost elbow is something else different that I am thinking of. You mean Manifold Elbow or no?

no, its a small 90 degree elbow that screws in your turbo. i believe you can adjust the boost with an allen wrench with it to.

I got one from Industrial Injection but haven't put it on yet so i can let you know how it is if you want
