Hey fellers,
I stopped in to the local stealership yesterday & talked to some douchbag salesman while I was looking an '08 2500 megacab over.
He told me '08 is the last year for the megacab. Dodge says sales aren't what they expected so they will replace it with a "crew cab", bigger than a quad cab smaller than a megacab. Also, no longbed option. Anybody else heard this?

I figured it out using the brochure. About 22.5ft My carhauler's are 78ft but they bend in the freakin middle. No busy shopping mall excursions with the wife in one of them. Of course, that would be a selling point for me!! I want one BAD.

ya that truck would be a nightmare through a tight parking lot but if dodge would have offered a longbed mega cab they would have probably sold a lot more thats what kept my dad from getting one

That was one of things that kept me from buying one because i thought that little bed was useless. Alot of trucks are nightmares in small parking lots. When ever i go to the doctors i have to park in the street because otherwise i'll spend half an hour trying to get my truck into a parking space.

I bought one! '07 MegaCab 5.9L w/6spd auto 4" Exh -turbo back Leramie, loaded with every option! It has 120kms about 80k miles (ALL HWY, NO Towing) on it that was a commuter for a landscaper/owner. It still has to get broken-in?! 22mpg @ 65-70mph?! Is that about right?! I spoke with many on this topic of discontinued Mega's and they all concur that they will ALL (1500-3500)go out of stock in '08 and replace with a bigger crew cab. What's bigger? Who knows... Still, if you want one, better act fast as they are getting harder and harder to find and in a loaded Laremie -impossible! Parking IS tough and takes some practice. My wife is a heavy equip't operator and makes short work of the MegaCab parking... What are those little mirrors for?! I better get used to Scwinting when backing up, man! You have to use them? In my defence, I even had to back my wife up into a spot once -so, yes it's a challenge! All in ALL -I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!!!!! Sure it's like driving a Boeing 747 but IT SURE SEATS LIKE FIRST CLASS with all the TOYS! Yes, the 'Mega' will go the way of the dinosaur but I hear they collect those fossils too! Maybe, this Mega- ur?! - saur may also share that same legacy as well, so start collecting... who knows?! Ask and I'll see if I can answer your ???'s regarding this truck... Thnx, JK. .
