i know this is heresy but can a cummins by quieter,im not talking about exhaust but the actual motor ive thought about putting in flow balanced injectors but im undecided

because a loud truck is cool, a loud engine is bloody enoying, especially when i have to let it warm up four feet from bedroom, its just not worth the complaints from the girlfriend ![]()

if she dont like the sound of the diesel she aint a keeper lol my gf drives a diesel too
1997 f-250 7.3 powerstroke. just another old truck making big power hahaha
my lug nuts need more torque then what your honda makes

Like they say "Real trucks rattle" so if you drive a "real" truck you have to put up with some "rattle". I love the sound of my diesels. I assuming you have a 1st or 2nd gen because the common rails are pretty quiet...so it might be easier to get a quiet girlfriend...LOL

Get a common-rail or a Duramax. You can barely tell they're diesels unless you're standing right next to them.

haha i agree, and real trucks are loud diesels; gotta luv em
'81 VW caddy diesel 3.5 inch exhaust,, smokes reel good and sounds like a big truck now. and still gits 46 mpg!

My wife LOVES both of our diesels. It looks like it's time for you to upgrade the girlfriend.
