One of the BIGGEST MISTAKE you can do to the 6.4 POWER-STROKE is change the EXHAST !!! THAT WOULD VOID YOUR WARRANTY !!!! Now BANKS claims their EXHAUST will keep your 6.4 POWER-STROKE exhaust cooler, BUT check with the FORD DEALER !!!

yes it is true that the after market parts will void your warranty only on that section of the truck the rest of the bumper to bumper warranty is still there. as for the banks claim of a cooler exhaust, my truck is proof, during active regen i can hold my hands within 18" of the exhaust and not get burned, obviously the cooler the ambient air the cooler the exhaust, but it is cooler than stock for sure. these manufactures have lost there minds about the warranty thing, its JUST an intake(filter and housing)and an exhaust pipe nothing EPA is changed.

yes it is...   hi im new to this site... im 21 and have a 2008 powerstroke its a white and tan f250 4 door short box with the 20 inch rims. i love it... has all the power i want... but the millage is crappy i get about 13 to 14 going 71 on the highway. and when i pull my dads race trailer ( 48 foot haulmark trailer 3 axel ) i get an amazingly low 5.2 it pulls it with no problem... but the millage is not good at all as you can tell. i got the update done and it has helped the millage about half a mile per gallon is all.  is there anything else i can do     besides drive it like a grandma that will get me some better millage without voiding the warranty... any fuel additive that wont screw up the motor?   anything will help   thank you

My neighbor has a 6.4 Dually and I sold him a DPF back exhaust and Banks 6 gun and he has told me mid 15's. The regeneration is where you loose fuel mileage because that's what's used to create the burn-off of the soot. Of course if you have deep pockets and don't care about warrenties there are DPF delete pipes. But I wouldn't mess with that. The banks kit actually works because of the way it programs it actually reduces soot. Thus less regeneration. All of the new DPF trucks are getting horrible MPG. If you are interested in parts email me at catfan83@earthlink.net thanks and good luck--Tim

Have you done the pen and paper calculations or are you using the computer up top because those work off vaccums and are not always accurate.

Keep in mind guys the dealer can turn you away on a warranty claim but if the ball joint goes out on the front end that exhaust you put on there didn't cause that, so keep in mind the Warranty protection act. They cannot void your warranty for something that is not related to the problem.

I heard that SPARTAN has the best tuners, BUT at $1,550 I can't funking afford it, so i'll be running stock for a while, maybe buy an intake, like air-raid or sb ???
